Perfect cake topper!
When my oldest girl was turning four she decided that she really wanted an Ariel Party. As for me, I really wanted keep things as simple as possible and the idea of tackling a cake that looks like a mermaid seemed a bit complex. Therefore, I decided the easy solution would be to simply buy an Ariel to use as a cake topper. I actually looked for small toys first, but had a hard time finding something that I thought would work and was cute enough. (Not to mention that some of the small plastic Ariels I found were ridiculously expensive considering what they were.) Finally, I stumbled across this adorable Ariel figurine, and wouldn't you know? It even has a four on it! I love Precious Moments products and I love that this Ariel looks like a little girl, rather than having the cleavage that Ariel usually has going on. This seemed a lot more appropriate for my own little princess and so even though $25 was bit more than I had been planning to spend, considering what I was paying for, (A keepsake for her to have for years to come) it made a lot more sense than buying a junky plastic toy for even half that cost. (Plus then I got free shipping). I was able to make a simple cake in a rectangular pan dusted with "sand" (cocoa powder/brown and white sugar mixture) on one side and splashed with blue colored coconut on the other side. Then Ariel rode in with the tide. :} It was simple and my daughter loved it!

Too sweet!
I purchased this entire collection of Precious Moments figurines. Ages 1-9 with the prince. I have a little girl who will be 6 this summer and she LOVES anything Disney Princess! She also, curiously, has an obsession with figurines, you know, the ones they aren't supposed to play with? She loves them! We have a couple of snow globes and music boxes and she's content to just look at them! Back to the Princess figurines....they are beyond ADORABLE! I just wish I had discovered them sooner so I could have started the tradition of giving them to her for her birthday earlier! I will be giving her the prince and princesses 1-6 for her b'day this year. Then we'll give 7 next year and so on. I hope Prcious Moments adds more (Tiana!) The attention to detail on these train cars is amazing! Each princess has story specific items with her (Rapunzel has Pascal, Belle has Chip, etc.) But what really caught my eye was the age plaque on the front of each train car. Rapunzel's 7 plaque is in the shape of a sun. Cinderella's is in the shape of her carriage and Snow White's is an apple! I would definitely recommend this to serious princess lovers!!

Her hair was a peach color so I ended up painting her hair red. Not sure why. Also, some of the paint didn’t really line up with the seams.

So cute!
I got the whole set for my daughter without spending over $20 for any of them by keeping an eye on them. They go on sale every so often, most of them between 12 and 16 dollars. If you can afford to get them all at once they sell them on ebay for $200 for the whole set. These figures are adorable. I got the first one on the day my daughter was born (the little prince) and knew they'd be a tradition for years to come. So far she only has the first three, but she knows she'll be unwrapping ariel this year and can't wait. They're SO cute. I remember being jealous of the kids who had the birthday train with all the animals growing up. This is better My only complaint is that for awhile they were going in order with the princesses' and then they randomly stopped (Rapunzel should be the last princess, not the seventh) But that's a minor issue.

Princess wasn’t glued on
Love these precious moments princesses!! The only thing that made me upset was the princess wasn’t glued to the carriage. It happened to four out of the eight I bought. Very disappointed.

Cute
I am not a fan of the Precious Moments figurines but my mom has gifted both of my daughters one for each birthday, with this one being for my 4 year old. To me they're all cute, but upon closer inspection I was a little taken back by Ariel's bra. It seems to be a little risque and showing too much side cleavage. However, after a quick Google search, it seems to be an accurate depiction of the Little Mermaid, I guess I just I hadn't noticed before, lol.

My daughter loves her birthday train and looks forward to getting a new one for her birthday
We've been getting these for my daughter since she turned 1 and they are great! The detail is nice and the quality is what you would expect from Precious Moments. I appreciate that they aren't super large either since there are so many in the set to collect over the years. She is old enough that she is now looking forward to getting them for her birthday now. I hope that they continue to release a couple more because it would be nice to get Anna or Elsa in the lineup too. On a side note.. the wheels do NOT roll. On a couple of the graphics it looks like they might, but they are just part of the piece.
