The best secateurs!
We've had a pair of these for years. They're all-metal, with little to go wrong. They're made of the best materials (hardened steel blades, rolled steel handles) and the only thing is that in the end they eventually wear out. They're sharpenable (you need a small whetstone), and appreciate a drop of oil from time to time. That's about it. Honestly, if you're thinking of paying more, in my opinion you don't need to. These are practical, strong, and ergonomic. Also, although I have large hands I find these medium-sized secateurs (rather than their bigger brothers, with 20mm capacity) sit well in the hand, especially a gloved hand, so don't get dropped. And being orange, I have yet to lose a pair!

Best secateurs I've used in years
Great pair of secateurs. I've had a number of other pairs from other suppliers in recent years and these are the best by a long way. Great design & build quality, with no small screws to come loose (as has happened on several other makes). Nice weight, good handle shaping, great at cutting. More expensive than some other makes but well worth it - I can highly recommend them. Update...almost 6 years later these are still working great (just a little worn paintwork) and I’ve just sharpened them for the first time. Still the best secateurs I’ve ever had, and they have now got a big brother as I’ve also purchased the Bahco 23mm capacity secateurs.

Quality and simplicity
I chose the smaller size as I only have a small area to maintain and so was putting together a compact garden toolkit. I like the robust simplicity of this brand and find these secateurs very pleasing aesthetically as well as ergonomically. Priced well for quality yet not so high that I will become too precious about them. They'll last and age well I think. I'd recommend using these with 'grippy' gardening gloves since the smooth finish does tend to slip from one's grasp with plain fabric or stiff leather styles. However I still prefer the look and feel of these plain handles over rubberised grips which always end up grubby.

They feel good in your hands,they are super sharp and cut so easily, Prob the best value around.Ifyou want a good set of cutters get these they are Brill.

Excellent Product
These secateurs are simple, basic, no frills. They are well made and do the job they are designed for. All metal construction makes them long lasting and the cutting blade is excellent. In my experience these Bahco secateurs are the best available at any price. Spending more does not make them easier to use, sharper or longer lasting. They are available in other sizes which is also handy.
