You're reading this 5 Star review because there isn't a 6 Star Review category! I would give this as many stars were available! I have finally found a wallet I love! I've been on the neverending quest of finding the smallest, practical wallet for front-pocket use but will hold my 18 cards neatly, a half dozen bills, and even a couple scraps, bandages, etc. I have spent hundreds on wallets over the past decade, buying Coach, Louis Vuitton, Jack Spade, Belroy, and several others, but never could find something that fits my needs. What can I say, I'm a guy with certain set of particular requirements, and just couldn't find what I was looking for. I really was at the point of acceptance that I would just have to "shoe horn" my junk into the smallest wallet I could find, but in the end, I always ended up with a fabric taco that put the bulge in my pants in the absolutely worst place :) Long story short, my face showed pure delight as I loaded each card into my new Big Skinny Compact Sport Leather wallet. Each card I put it seemed to almost disappear into the wallet, and I had to close it and squeeze it in disbelief with every few cards I added. It was truly amazing that this thing was gobbling up my plastic mess and still kept it's svelte figure.

Not as good as the original original

I bought this to replace an original Big Skinny bi-fold that I purchased at a street fair many years ago. It seemed amazing when I bought it and it lived up to expectations. It was super thin. All black fabric. Very discrete. Extremely useful. And pretty durable. I knew I was up for a let down when I could not seem to find a direct replacement to that wallet. This was the closest I could find. First of all, the exterior is leather. Now I know that leather wallets are more luxurious and appear more serious. But in this case leather is not an asset. First of all it makes the wallet a little heavier, stiffer and thicker than the all-fabric version I had previously. It also has the Big Skinny logo embossed on the outside which pretty much negates any of the "classiness" you might be going for when selecting a leather wallet. Finally the pictures of the interior are misleading. It's a small point but the pictures show the left interior pocket having a "V" shape to it. This was the case on my old Big Skinny but the leather hybrid bi-fold that came did not have that "V." The "V" shape made it very easy to access the cards that were secured there. I was able to slide out and insert a card while the wallet was still folded in my pocket. With the new design you simply can't touch enough of the card to slide it out this way. Instead you need to pull out the car using a thumb and finger. This seems like a small deal but it represents a move away from a better design.

The perfect minimal wallet for me.

Inexpensive. Looks decent. Very thin in the front pocket. This leather version is stiff enough to keep a few business cards without them getting bent up. I carry a drivers license, one credit card, two business cards, and a little cash (4-10 bills). It's easy to get my credit card out of the little pocket, and yet it doesn't fall out. Putting business cards in the pocket behind the drivers license pocket that has the window is good because that is a protected and stiff area. Cash fits nicely. There is plenty of room and it is easy to thumb though the bills and pick out what I want. My previous wallet was a Tumi Slim Card Case. It doesn't fold, it's like half of a bi-fold wallet. That thing lasted 15 years and I loved it because of how small and slim it was. But cash was inconvenient. I had to fold it in half and put it in the slot. To use cash I had to take it all out, open it up and get to what I wanted. I decided a slim bi-fold would be perfect for me and it is.

Five years and still great - but the size changed!

This is an extremely durable wallet, with slim/compact design I bought it five years ago and as you can see on the picture it's less than 4'' wide While current description has 4.5'' Did it get bigger?

4 months and the stitching is coming apart

I previously had an Allett wallet, and it was great, lasted me a long time. It's just that I needed to hold more cards comfortably than the Allett leather sport wallet that I had was capable of holding. I saw this wallet, it was slightly longer and wider, but just as thin, said it could hold more cards (and it does) so I thought I'd give it a try. Almost 4 months old, the stitching is coming apart in the billfold area. I don't overstuff it. The card storage area is really everything I'd want in a wallet, but for the threads to start coming apart in the corner of the billfold area, well that is unacceptable. Evidently there is NO durability, and I don't even abuse it. Durability gets 1 star and that really brings down the value of what I thought, what I was hoping would be a great purchase. Without the threads coming apart it would be 5 stars all around. Maybe I'll try and fix it so it doesn't fully come apart, but I shouldn't have to do that.

Skinniest Wallet I could find

I love these wallets. I had the original hybrid leather wallet for a few years, but the leather on the outside was starting to rub through. I ran that wallet through the wash a few times on accident so that could have contributed to that. The rest of the wallet was structurally sound though. I liked that wallet so much that I bought another one. I went with the compact hybrid leather wallet this time and I am happy with it. Honestly for the price I would buy a brand new one of these things every year without even thinking about it. I don't carry much in the wallet. I have about 8 cards (credit/insurance/rewards/etc.) cards in the compact wallet typically with about 10 bills or so and it's still really thin. I recommend these wallets to everyone who complains about their wallet, or any time I see someone with a "George Castanza" wallet.

Great wallet

As a skinny jeans wearer this wallet is brilliant. No longer am I carrying my wallet around or trying to jam it in to my pockets. Quality is very good too had it over 6 months and it's looks like it did the day I got it.

Slim, sleek, sturdy, and fits it all!

Slim, sturdy, and fits it all! I replaced my bloated worn out previous leather wallet with one of these, and it's awesome, I was surprised to see it fit all of my plastic cards, and bills. It's sleek, and about a half inch thinner then my previous wallet with all the same cards and contents, which was quite impressive to me. I'm not sure if it's a placebo effect or an ownership bias, but I think I'll be sticking with Big Skinny offerings from here on out if they're all this impressive :D

The life changing wallet..

This wallet has changed my life forever.... It all started on a nice March day in 2018, birds were chirping, a cool breeze blew through my hair as I reached in my pocket to pull out my awful, huge, unnecessary wallet full of gift cards to never be used and business cards of people I don’t care about. As I held it in my hand for the last time I knew something had to change, I knew there must be a wallet out there capable of all my needs while maintaining a small size and classy look, but where? I immedietly pulled out my cellphone on clicked on my Amazon app, and started browsing wallet, the first few seemed alright but they just were not for me, then out of nowhere, as my thumb releases from my screen as I scroll down I see the BIG SKINNY !! I knew right away this wallet was for me so I quickly ordered it and within a few short days I had my new wallet in the mail. After rushing home from the mailbox I sat at my table with my old horrible wallet and my new stylish wallet. With many less spots to fill I realised that most of the cards I had on me at all times were totally useless! I continued setting up my new wallet and when I was done I felt like a new man! The motivation from decluttering my wallet lead me to my next task... MY BEDROOM. My bedroom had been rather messy and unorganized for many years but this wallet motivated me to get rid of more junk.. 7 garbage bags full of junk later and I was well on my way to success. A few weeks went by with me using my new wallet and sleeping in a very clean room that I decided it was time for the next task..weight loss. After months of hard work I stepped on the scale to see my weight down 40 pounds and my life quality increasing by the day, and to think this all started with a wallet. If it wasn’t for the BIG SKINNY my life would have never changed, and for that, I thank you BIG SKINNY.

No está hecha para durar mucho

La cartera me encantó, es sin duda alguna la cartera mas delgada que he tenido y me parece excelente la idea de que el exterior sea de cuero y el interior sea de nylon para hacerla aún más compacta. La parte que no me gusta es que después de dos meses de uso muy ligero y cuidándola bastante el cuero exterior ya muestra rayones y algunas marcas de desgaste; es muy rápido para que ya se vea así y me hace pensar que en un año ya voy a querer cambiarla. Otra opción sería comprar la versión que es completamente de nylon pero tengo la mala experiencia de que ese material termina apestando a humedad con el uso.
