Great professional style flat grill
My husband worked in restaurants for years and was using one of thosev$20 nonstick flat grills from one of those national store chains. The difference between cooking on one of those and this grill is NIGHT AND DAY! Oh howdy! I cooked pancakes on it first thing and there are cool spots around the rim or outer edges, bad for pancakes but good for putting items there to keep warm while cooking other goodies. It does not come with anything to tell you what temperatures correspond to what numbers on the dial for getting the grill hot so bit of an adventure there. However it has a nice deep oil drip tray which I originally thought was stupid and wasteful until I asked my husband how to clean the flat grill. He simply poured some water on the cooling grill and BINGO darn thing was wipeable clean in moments and all that water went bloop, right into the drip tray. So easy to clean, nice to be able to use METAL utensils like spatulas on it and it can get VERY HOT once turned on. My husband was saying it's almost exactly like the ones at the restaurants he worked at but on a slightly smaller scale. So big thumbs up for this flat grill, it's really increased the time, quality, and pleasure in cooking again. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!

Terrific product
I worked as a cook for a casino for years and even tho I have lots of counter products, this is the best and easiest way to cook. Love it!!

Handle broke in less than 6 months
The grill is great until it breaks. The knob cracked in half and fell off. This worked well until it broke. We keep it in the same place on the counter and take good care of it. Cheaply assembled

The grill came pretty badly bent up. The shipping package seemed ok. This quality control issue of maybe being damaged at factory

Just no
The media could not be loaded. Unit makes a loud buzzing when heating. Heating is wildly inconsistent setting temp to 150c gives a temp range of 240-100c. Seasoning the surface proved near impossible with an over 100c temp swing. User manual is so poorly translated as to be gibberish. Hot plate temp varies by 30c from center to 1" from edge, this excludes the variation from the thermostat. At the edge the variation in temperature is over 100c.

LOVE!!
Being a mom of 6, when the glass on my stove broke and I could not cook, and the replacement glass was taking forever to arrive, I bought this. It has been a wonderful addition to cooking appliances. Large enough for me to make enough for everyone, small enough that it fits nicely in one of my cabinets for storage. It heats nicely and you can get a wonderful crust on steaks, or cook up some veggies. This appliance has turned cooking over easy eggs from a stressful task to an exceptionally easy one. With a pumice stone and scrubber it is fairly easy to clean, using those tools, water and s little heat. There are a few complaints… The temperature dial numbers are centigrade which means I gotta do a little math to get the temp right. After a while you memorize where you need it to be though so it’s only annoying the first couple times you use it and are confused. (Only living in the US is this annoying) It heats well but I wish it heated a little more evenly. There definitely are some hot spots and cool spots. While I wish it heated more evenly, the hot and cold spots end up being beneficial if you need to have temp zones , especially since there is not dual zone temp control. The stainless steel cooking surface is textured like brushed stainless, which means food, char and stuff can get stuck fairly easily. This isn’t really a negative for me as it is so easy to clean. With the remaining heat , hot water with a touch of soap in an old ketchup bottle, a griddle scrubber with handle and a pumice stone, it’s back to looking brand new quickly. The grease drip tray is convenient and makes catching either food or cooking waste a cinch. It also is super helpful when cleaning the griddle. Overall this is a purchase I couldn’t be happier with. The few small issues there are, aren’t large enough to outweigh the benefits. For the price you really can’t compare. I got this to cook on while my stove was getting repaired, and even after that repair, I continually use this item half the week or more instead of the stove. I’m super glad I made this purchase. I would recommend it.
