Cost effective and effective

So far so good. I bought these to replace the "ceramic" style filters our hot tub came with; one of them cracked when I removed them for cleaning. I bought these for three reasons: 1) I could get the four filters needed for our tub for less than *half* the cost of four ceramic filters; 2) These are made in the USA; 3) I wanted to experiment with the "lesser" style of filters to see the cost/benefit compared to the (way) more expensive ceramic filters. And then there was the free two day Amazon Prime shipping ...which greatly helped get our tub up and running ASAP. Do not fear these filters. The Pleatco replacement filters fit our Hot Springs "Sovereign" Model II spa tub perfectly. In fact these filters are a bit larger overall than the ceramic filters that came with the tub; they are both a little taller and a bit wider in diameter. Whereas the original ceramic filters slipped on with lots of room to spare, these filters needed just a bit of careful alignment to get them on ...nothing heroic or potentially damaging ...just not as easily as the ceramics. And FYI ...I read a review of a person who bought these filters and complained about having to remove the band on the filters ...you don't remove the band. The band is glued in place and it'is there to help stabilize and keep separated the filter folds; leave it be. If you want to make the change to the non-ceramic filters make sure you read up on their care in your owners manual or the Pleatco website; no, you can't toss these in the dishwasher. But keeping them clean isn't much more work than hosing them off regularly and occasionally using the filter cleaning spray solution. Like I said, so far so good.

Keeps tub clean

They are OE so they fit and work like it should. Some of the aftermarket ones didn't work as good.

Pleatco filters, HotSprings Prodigy Spa

I bought these for my HotSprings Prodigy Spa and they fit perfectly. I saw one reviewer say that the spa protection kicked in and they were told by their service person to use genuine HotSprings filters, but took a chance because everyone else was OK. It turned out I had the same issue, twice (after resetting the tub), but I fixed it by rotating the filters a little. I changed the water when I changed the filters so I needed to add a lot of chemicals. I think what it was was that I had added chemicals to the tub by pouring them into the filter well like I'm supposed to and they didn't all dissolve fast enough after being pulled into the filter. It worked fine on the high speed pump setting but sometime after switching it to standby with the pump on low it would shut itself off and needed to be reset. If this happens to you, rotate the filters a little bit and see if that fixes it. Mine has been working fine for over a week now so I'd call it solved. I saved a bunch of money, and more importantly to me, over an hour drive each way to the nearest distributor.

Best Price and Delivers ASAP

We have a Hot Springs hot tub and have had great results with the Pleatco water filters for many years. Pool Supply provided the exact filter at less cost with us receiving the product 3 days later. I hate waiting and I think most people do. I will definitely order from Pool Supply next time too

Pleatco PWK30 for Hot Spring Spas

I have used these for years from another distributor- since Amazon now carries them for less I purchased three of these for my Sovereign. They work as well as the OEM filters and my local dealer carries the same filters with their name on them for $40 each- I support shopping local but not at that markup. My last filter set was four years old and would not get clean anymore. I installed these and filled the spa (I drain it for the summer- snow and hot tubs go together well), balanced the water and have had many beautiful evenings soaking in the hot tub. No snow yet- but it is inevitable sometime this winter here in Michigan. I will probably buy another set this winter so I can do a "hot swap" if I am not changing water. The jets are as powerful as when the spa was new and the water is crystal clear. I highly;y recommend these filters.

Good value

Product exactly as described. Good quality. Poorly packed for shipment in a large box. Box was partially crushed; room for loose filters to bounce around. It was fortunate that they were not damaged.

Hot Spring Vanguard - a touch too short?

I bought one of these to test for my Hot Spring Vanguard and it seems about 1/16 inch too short. The original filters screw in snugly but this one has just enough space to spin on the standpipe. I'm debating if I want that before I purchase the remaining 4. Perhaps I got one that was manufactured a touch too small or maybe they swell a little once in use? Anything that could get by the gap would be so small I don't think it would cause a problem but then again it does make me uneasy. I gave it 4 stars due to the great price and the quality seems to be fine - maybe it is my ignorance.

Excellent product it works very good

As a canned response to a requested review, I state this: This is one of the items that a review is silly to do as I am happy with this product and would have no reason to not reorder in the same manner It is a sundry or something I use in everyday life like light bulbs, toilet paper, cereal etc the only way I would give a bad review is if it arrived busted and if it did that, as a Prime member I get mainly from Amazon and they take care of all issues like that so I'm sure it does not fit this case Excellent product it works very good

Hole in centre size needs listing in advert but great productcfast delivery
