Lovely platter

I didn't have any issues mentioned in the review I saw about it being wobbly, mine is pretty perfect and I love it! There is a fruit that feels a little rough, I think one might have been missed getting a glaze but otherwise perfect. I really didn't want a biring platter and this doesn't disappoint

It is a very pretty platter - but it is smaller than I expected

It is a very pretty platter - but it is smaller than I expected. It shipped really fast and was packaged very well to prevent breakage. As for the dimensions, it really wasn't the size that I thought I had selected, but I kept it none the less, because, like I said earlier, it's a very pretty platter. If you are expecting to place a 30 pound turkey on it, it would be too small. Perhaps a 14-20 pound would fit well.

colorful sturdy platter

Very pretty platter. Its not huge but good size and sturdy. Very colorful. Looks good on the table. And I didnt need it to fit the whole bird. I slice off the meat in the kitchen then put it on the platter

DO NOT BUY

Resist the urge to buy this turkey platter. While very colorful and attractive, it is good only for display. I have taken two photos in an attempt to illustrate the two MAJOR design flaws. First, there is a ridge down the center of the back, causing the platter to rock. It simply cannot lie flat on your table. Carving your turkey on a rocking platter is all but impossible. Secondly, the colorful turkey on the face of the platter is in relief, which does not allow your turkey to sit flat on the platter. Your bird will be sliding around while you try to carve it. These two flaws make this platter a most expensive piece of wall art. I fear the cost of shipping back this $60 platter will mean I am stuck with a very expensive piece of decor, and I will still have to buy another turkey platter. If you decide to go ahead and buy it anyway, just know that it won't be big enough for any bird over 12-14 lbs., as others have noted.

For people who like this sort of thing, this is the sort of thing they will like

My parents' turkey platter got broken after Thanksgiving dinner when it bumped something in the back of the cupboard while being put away for the year. And so I resolved to buy them a replacement for Christmas. This was the only one I could find that was sufficiently large and sufficiently kitschy. I personally think it is hideous but it seems to be well-made and my mother was very happy with it.

Reminds Me of Grandma

This platter is delightfully colorful. It is well-made and sturdy. It reminds me of the turkey platter my grandma had when I was a kid.

Beautiful platter

Smaller than I thought. I should have paid attention to measurements. It must be for a small turkey. I still think it's very beautifully painted and heavy for it's size. To me that means quality. I'm going to use it year-round to serve breakfast foods. I love this platter and if I had a chance to do it over, I still would buy it.
