Great for controlling Christmas trees
I use this plug for my Christmas tree lights. It works great I can use my voice to turn the tree lights off and on. I'm a little bit trashy so writing this review now in May my Christmas tree is still up and I still turn the lights on every night using voice commands to my Alexa Amazon echo thing that control my array of Philips hue products. I'm not sure what I will use this plug for if I ever get around to taking my tree down. at this point it's as close to next holiday as as last holiday so I may as well just let it ride and maybe take it down in 2024.

Works very well though pricey!
The plug works great with the hue system. Fast responding. Clean, well made design. For those who say that it does not have a dimmer I'm actually very happy it does not. You can use it for other devices than just lights! I know it is part of Philips Hue lighting product. I think it would be a mistake not to understand outlets aren't just for lights and that Philips Hue system should be aware of the full home ecosystem. It is a well made product. A little on the large side though designed to not block the second outlet. The main down side is its price. It is a bit expensive to justify purchase in quantities. All Hue lights are a tad too expensive I find...

Works great for the Christmas tree
Keeps my fat but from having to give a reach around to the Christmas tree to plug and unplug it. Not sure what else to use it for but works well for why I bought it.

Bought it to extend the Hue mesh network
I had some bulbs that were quite far away from the Hue bridge. I bought this to plug it in closer to the bridge, thus acting as an extender to get a stronger signal to the lights that were having connection issues. Works well for this... although a bit of an expensive solution.

Easy to set up and works great
I use these plugs to control and automate lamps. They're easy to install and configure. They work seamlessly with my Hue bridge. They replaced plugs from another brand that used a cloud service that constantly failed. Thank you, Philips!

Rock. Solid. Every. Time.
Firstly, go and do research on the difference between wifi, Bluetooth and zigbee. You will find that zigbee was made for light, low energy, long range, low data, natural mesh network. Ie the more you have the better the results, the opposite of wifi and Bluetooth. So, on paper, it’s the ideal solution. Secondly, I had tried wemo and amazon and cheap Chinese wifi smart plugs, and poured a lot of money into unreliable stuff. Including Amazon’s wifi smart plug, it is super unreliable and slow. Because I was short on time, didn’t do my research, and hue did not have a smart plug. I upgraded my router to the ASUS axe16000 and the smart plugs became super unreliable. I thought I was screwed. I had time, finally, to sit and read. And I understood zigbee, I saw hue already had smart plugs out now, and I already had the new hue bridge. So I bought four of these, because I had spent way more of the other stuff. And, right from go, super easy to install (just take your time, uninstall/rename previous plugs, rename these), and they respond super quick over Alexa, and every single time, all four, every morning and every night for a week. Wow. Not just that, but another hue strip light that used to be a bit unreliable is super stable and responsive now because of zigbee, I have two new plugs near it. They make a nice soft click, it sounds lush. Nice. I’ve had them a week and if things change I’ll update here for sure. Thirdly, if you are sitting there thinking “oh no I don’t want to spend $50 on a hue hub”, well, you’re going to spend a whole lot more on wifi smart plugs that will drive you nuts. Fourthly, I’m no longer paranoid about changing my router because … zigbee controls my lights.

Better than wemo
I love these smart plugs. So easy to add to homekit and rock solid on the network. My wemo plugs tend to lose network connectivity frequently while the hue plugs work flawlessly. If you’re looking for a homekit compatible plug then go for this one.

We bought this for our Christmas tree and it worked like a charm. So nice to have the lights go on automatically at night. We bought this one specifically because we have Philips Hue throughout the house and know it is compatible with HomeKit.

Hue products just work well.
I don't use Hue without the hub, so I can't comment on that experience, but with the hub Hue just works for me. Very reliable, great control features, and super simple to use. Integrates well with Google and Smart things, and presumably with Alexa as well. I'm glad they branched out to plugs, as this adds additional versatility to the home setup. They're a little pricier than other options, but I've been using their products for almost a decade, and Hue has lasted while cheaper bulbs, switches, and plugs have failed, had connection issues, or been retired by their manufacturer.

Excellent as Expected
Been waiting on these to come out.. I live in a crowded area and have quite a bit of interference so most smart plugs end up not responding when I need them to. Siri never has a problem controlling the Philips lights, and as expected, I haven't had the "not responding" error on these plugs either. Setup was really simple and I like how small they are. Philips tells you that this plug is for bulbs only, with explicit instructions on what you can connect to it. And it does connect as and appear as a bulb. So just hop over to the Home app on your iPhone or iPad and set it in whatever room and to whatever device type you want. I have fans plugged into mine, named for the room they're in, and Siri has no problem including them with other fans in the house with "Turn off all the fans" or individually with "Turn off the Living Room Fan". I expected these to be basically perfect and they've delivered. I'll be replacing all of my other smart plugs with these.

Great Smart plug with good distance coverage.
I do like it very much. Use it to run a Pumping system (1100Watt draw). Works out great. I can be more than 100 feet away and it will still turn on.
