INCREDIBLE!!!

I ordered 3 of these place settings from the used item option. They classically simple and I love them. Unfortunately 3 of the plates in one of the place settings were broken. I went to report the problem and the contact info was indicated as contacting the manufacturer directly. I did this and WOW, WOW, WOW!!! What a pleasant, refreshing surprise. The communication was clear, friendly, transparent and quick. Long story short, they not only replaced the 3 broken plates but did so with another complete 4 person place setting. Going forward, I am going to be going directly to the manufacturer for my dinnerware needs!

Mixed feelings

First off these look even better in person. They have a very formal look and feel and I do use for formal events. The entire set looks so good on my table and Making my dining room pop. You could use for non formal dinners too. Although look better in person, the issue is close up they have weird flaws which I guess is becoming an awful unfortunate trend. I feel like the company's are getting a little lady and craftmanship is gone these days. The feel in hand though is nice and I do love the speckled stone look. Overall, its formal but flawed but not bad enough to not use so I still use them for formal parties.

Heavy Duty Dishes

When the name of dishes comes up as PFALTZGRAFF, I pay attention. I have owned this brand for many years and they gave my family years of good service. As of now, a Senior Citizen and adjusting to a down sized living arrangement the PFALTGRAFF name caught my eye. This dinnerware appealed to me, as it was a pale color in a neutral shade. When they arrived I noticed how heavy each piece was, I remember from my experiences with PFALTZGRAFF other dinnerware, they were made for a growing family. Now that I live alone and find the weight of handling these dishes a little more trying, but appreciate their being so sturdy to last a long time.. Also in my excitement of the PFALTGRAFF dishes put in my order before I noted there were no cups so pay attention to this. I do love the shape of the bowls, the larger one works for my salads and soups and small one for my morning cereal. With this heavy weight for dishes one uses every day, it is a blessing because they are sturdy and well made by PFALTGRAFF..

Heavy, extremely durable dinnerware

Design: As you can see, the style of this dinnerware is very muted. I prefer a more muted style of dinnerware. However, if you like a bit more style in your dinnerware, this certainly isn't the dinnerware for you. Color: This dinnerware has a shade of taupe that's much more on the dark gray side, than the brown side of the taupe scale. It's almost a muddy gray. Also, as you can see, the primary shade is encircled in brown outlining. Weight: This is heavy dinnerware, no doubt about it. Durability: Based off the weight and feel of this dinnerware, it seems incredibly durable. This is not the type of dinnerware that chips easily. Overall: I love the muted styling of this dinnerware. The shade of taupe is dominated by gray as opposed to brown; which I also love. Finally, I'm very pleased with the durability of this dinnerware. 4 stars

These are just gorgeous, and will fit in any color room or decor!

I love Pfaltzgraff, and have since I was a child. My mom still owns some of the same pieces that warmed my heart as a child, to this very day. They are displayed in her China cabinet, and used for our special occasions in her home. I don’t want to give away my age, but it’s been a really long time. Quality.. it never goes out of style! This set is no different, and it’s so elegant, without being super over the top. It truthfully, will fit in to any style of kitchen/dining area, and into any color scheme you may have in your home. The quality is exceptional! The brand has not changed in all these years, and I’m sure it has no plans to. The pieces are thick, heavy, which is a really good thing, and the color and pattern of this set is simplistically stunning, if I had to chose the best way to phrase it. The pieces are very elegant and classy, but can also fit in to most any dining occasion in your home, where you wish to ‘dress to impress’. (Your table, that is.) They are special, but for as special as they look and they feel, their price is VERY affordable. More so then one would think, from the outside looking in. This is a 12 piece set, and it will surely knock your socks off upon arrival. I think it’s gorgeous, and I love the classic, yet simple color and pattern, that presents such a classy vibe and feel. This would make an amazing housewarming, holiday or anniversary gift. It’s very, very special, at a very special price. One day you could have your (right now) children to dinner with these plates and cups in your cabinet still. This kind of quality, it LASTS and LASTS! Pflatzgraff never fails!
