Cat drink filter
Not what I thought I was getting. I need ones about twice that size. They are too small. Local store has been gracious to switch them. But I will try to edit my order to correct size soon.

Important to keep pet hair out of the pump
While I don’t see how these would help filter out impurities in the water, they do help keep pet fur from reaching the pump and ruining it. I usually clean this filter when I “deep-clean” the fountain and pump (every week, but at least every two weeks) and make sure to get cat hair and particles out of it.

***UPDATED REVIEW INFO***
I guess I didn't pay close attention when I ordered these and I assumed I was ordering them directly from Drinkwell as I had previously. I only figured it out when they arrived and they were in a plastic bag. Each set of filters in a clear plastic bag - and all three in a larger mailing bag. They do not appear to be as "thick" as the other filters I have been using. There is/was no identifying information with them, so I hope they perform as well as the original Drinkwell filters do and I am getting ready to use the first set of them just today. I bought 3 packages (6 total filters) of them as I have 2 of the water fountains that run continuously. The price was not tremendously cheaper than what I paid with Drinkwell, there was no tracking information given or available, and frankly, I can buy them locally cheaper but for the recent bad weather and bad roads we have had, I ordered them rather than have to drive an hour to purchase them. All aside, they look ok, but time will tell me if they work as good as the original. *** I just wanted to add that I have now had these filters in our two watering fountains - in continuous use - for two weeks and have been monitoring them pretty closely. I just recently completely emptied the fountains and ran white vinegar through them and scrubbed them thoroughly with hot soapy water - after removing the filters of course. The filters seem to be doing an excellent job - they aren't as dense as the ones I was buying from Petsafe - and I think I actually like them better. They rinse out cleaner and easier, and they don't seem to hold onto any mildew smell like I had happen a few times with the other ones - and I think it's because of the density of the foam ( my opinion - not anything scientific or anything!!). They do a great job of blocking anything from getting into the motor area - which is what they are designed to do, but as always - for your pets well being and enjoyment it is still necessary to clean the fountains regularly and to provide fresh, cold, clean water daily. These filters help me provide that, and I am satisfied with my purchase. Just wanted to share!!!

Awesome filters for the plastic 360 fountain that airates the water for your pet perfectly.
Perfectly fits the Drinkwell 360 Water bowl plastic with the ease of using the original that it came with and then using one of these as a replacement as you wash out and dry the original one. Rotate every two weeks when you change the charcoal filter and you will never probably have to buy another foam filter again. This keeps the air and dust out of the water and in the filter just wash and rinse when you are changing the charcoal disposable filters every week or two and you will never need to buy a foam filter again. I use the original and then one of these every time I change the filters, I wash out whatever one has been in the fountain with dawn or some other mild form of soap letting it sit in soapy warm water for duration of the day if it's particularly nasty, then I wash and rinse out the one I am presently changing out, letting it dry put it away and then use the next one rotating all three of them through up to every two weeks or so or if the fountain gets especially nasty. They are great to change out every two weeks and easy to replace and really not as expensive as other filters are in other bigger water fountains, they are easily purchased on Amazon and will arrive via USPS because there is no weight to them. Brand new or at least really clean filters every time you change your pets water while changing the disposable charcoal filters also. Clean once every week, change the filters on the same day every other week and have an enjoyable relaxing and wonderfully clean clear crisp airated water for your pets.

Keep fountain cleaner longer
I really like these filters. I use them in my indoor cat fountain and outside with my fountain in the bird bath. It reduces how often you have to clean the fountains and saves the life of your pump because it helps keep debris out of the pump.

I don’t replace this foam filter as often as the instructions suggest, normally only every six months or so. It sits around the motor and doesn’t really get dirty, with a rinse under the tap being all that is usually necessary. It is easy to replace.

As expected
Genuine filters. Came in a small cardboard box with 2 filters per box. The most interesting part of the box was the outside, not to take away from the functionality of what's inside. Arrived quickly too!
