Depends on the dog.
After reading the few reviews about dogs destroying these in a short amount of time, I was apprehensive about getting this. I'm no expert, but I believe that if your pet is properly crate trained, this will probably not be an issue. I used crate training methods with my 4 month old Pomeranian and this product. The only issue that I have had, is that the Pom figured out to unzip the door from the inside. I solved the problem by sewing a small length of webbing over the zipper at the upper corners of the door. This prevents the sliders from being tampered with when parked there.

Its not perfect but still good
Yes, it can easily be carried, that was my #1. Don't even think about the small size my 2 Havanese puppies were jumping out after a week. I throw washable pee pads on the bottom. You need 2 of these if you use them daily because they do hold stink and one should be washed out while the other is in use. My dogs can work the zipper open, a small carabiner stops that act. These perfectly protect fine wood floors, completely waterproof unlike some other pet carriers. Completely fun and allows non house trained puppies to be part of the family.

Kitten House
Update 1: The kittens are now almost 7 weeks old and still nursing once or twice a day. I felt this needed an update just in case anyone was wondering. This thing traps stink! Seriously! Unzip or get close to this thing with a clothespin on your nose. I line this everyday with fresh piddle pads and I have a small litter box in there for the kittens to use but this thing reeks! Urine and poop have permeated every single fiber seemingly. I clean it thoroughly everyday and I can still see the revulsion on people's face when they come in my house. Also, and this is NOT the fault of the maker or seller, NOT WATERPROOF! It's my mistake, but a big one! I have hardwood floors and forgot to put a piddle pad under this thing one night. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to refinish my floors. Do I still recommend this thing? Oh you betcha!!! Once their weaned and in new homes, I'll just chuck this thing in the trash since I'll never have another litter. (Bob Barker voiceover: This is Bob Barker reminding you to help control the pet population — have your pets spayed or neutered.”) Original post: I rescued a female cat that was pregnant but none of us knew it. I'm new to this whole cat thing. She went into labor two days after we discovered her pregnancy. I wasn't sure if she was fat or gassy. Turns out she was both, for good reason. After the kittens were born and had started to outgrow their whelping box I bought this. Momma loves this!! She can constantly scan her perimeter (I have dogs) and still lie there letting the kittens eat in peace. I love it for so many reasons. It's airy so I don't have to worry about them overheating. It's easy to clean. I just wipe it down every two days with hot water and peroxide while my mom entertains the kittens. Momma watches us both. She hates shenanigans. I can leave the top unzipped currently since they aren't strong enough to escape. In a few days, the top will have to be closed overnight unless I want to scramble in the morning, sticking kittens in pockets as I hunt for siblings in every nook and cranny. Momma would hate those shenanigans so I will be responsible and try to prevent that. Probably. This is very lightweight and very easy to move about as needed, even if kittens are inside and taking the ride. I haven't had any issues mentioned in the other reviews. None of the mesh has ripped, the zippers are working, in short, no problems. For reference, the kittens are approaching 5 weeks old.

Would recommend
It’s worth the price. Sets up easy. They show a dog in the picture but I used it for a small cat and personally I don’t think there’s enough space for a bigger animal.

Better than I thought!
I decided to adopt my dogs birth mom from the breeder. And though she’s been with us for 5 months, she still find comfort in spending most of the day in her crate. She will come out to go outside but otherwise, just wants to be in a crate. It’s a good size and she has room but it didn’t feel right letting her spend the day in their. So, I bought this playpen. I was worried she wouldn’t like it, especially with the top being open. She’s absolutely loves it! I put a blanket down and her favorite bed over the blanket. She’s been hanging out in there but I think she enjoys not have the wire blocking her view. She can see my better and I can easily grab her in and out of it from the top when need be. WELL WORTH the money, at least for me. Side note: my other dog scratches, and she’s ruined these before. Definitely done recommend this for a dog that scratch things a lot.

Received a different item. Only 1 door. Different color, Ventilation smaller
I would have given 5 stars if I received what I ordered. I wanted 2 doors and more ventilation because I am using it on the beach. It does have very good quality fabric. Returning things is so frustrating and time consuming.

Perfect
I got this for a stray kitten that had amputation surgery and systemic infections. She stayed in it overnight and when I had to leave the house so she would be safe and not irritate her surgery site and infected paw. It was big enough for a small litter pan, small cat bed, food and water dishes, and a little bit of spare room for her toys. The top zipper made it much easier getting her in and out, while the side door let her go in and out whenever she wanted. Zipped up she was secure, and even as she got better and feistier it never ripped. I like it better than a crate due to being soft, less likely to harm injured areas, even if it's shape doesn't fit in small spaces as well. Even then it fit in my room fine so I could keep an eye on her. Plenty easy to fold up for storage or move around the house. Cleaning was also fairly simple, a little diluted spray and a damp washcloth then towel dry got pee and poop smells out of it just fine. I got the bigger one, it suited a 3.5lb three-ish month old kitten. For an adult cat I don't think I would keep them in it very long, unless it was for recovery. Highly recommend as a kitten corral or a recovery room.

Great for about a week...
Bought this for our new puppy, a yorkie, so small, very small... anyhow, got this to use when we went away right after we first got jom. Its lightweight, easy to fold and set up, it was perfect. Thankfully he loved it. We put his bed in there, and he would go on when tired and sleep. Once we got home, he wanted his space again, so set it up, and he still loved it. We've only had it about 2.5 weeks now, and its horrible. The sides collapse in so easily, our yorkie (not even 2lbs) can collapse this thing in. If you don't touch it or even walk by it, its fine, but if a slight breeze hits it, the sides go in. I dont know why this is happening, but we've only folded it up and put it back up about 4 times, other than that its been set up for him. He's not aggressive, he's a 10 week old yorkie... I dont recommend it unless you only need it for a short time period.

Great product
It's very nice, pretty colour, spacious...I use it for my 15 lb shizu who got ivdd ( slip disc in back) and needs crate rest. Of course at points hes gotten restless and once he tore open the door...hes not usually ever even as a puppy been one to tear up things but I guess anyone would get that way having to be in a crate too much, partly could be my fault n left him in there a tad too long on that occasion so i could get things done. I dont blame the product makers, it's still a great product for what it is just know what you are buying and take into consideration how much your pet can handle.

Pup Love This Item
Portable, lightweight, quick set up. Pups like the space. Easy clean up. Downside is the side panels are a combo of the water resistant poly material and mesh. The latter is not holding up well after being used 3 times. Way, way too easy for pet nails to snag and tear. Once torn, there is no structural integrity and the sides collapse and escapes ensue. Not sure what pet this item may be best suited to. A rabbit?

Currently a chicken brooder
Bought for my chicks. Smaller than I thought but will do the trick for now. Currently holding 11 chicks that are 2 weeks old. Folds away easily when done for next years chicks Bought on sale so it was worth the price to me Edit after 2 months of light use. This wouldn't hold a puppy or kitten very well. The seems have started coming apart where the netting meets material. Still working for baby chicks but it wouldn't last long for puppies or kittens
