Great straws
I don't like the bendy straws. I've ordered these several times. Good sturdiness and gets the job done.

Very skinny straws.
These straws are opaque, not completely clear and they are skinny! They certainly do the job at least for normal beverages. They wouldn't be good for thicker beverages like smoothies because they're so skinny. I often pick up an iced tea at McDonald's and am used to their straws. They're average sized straws which are suitable for thick or thin drinks. Most straws I have purchased were very similar in size. When I got this batch of 100 straws, they came in a non resealable plastic bag. I switched them to a zip lock bag. They are not individually wrapped but I only wanted them for home so that isn't an issue. But honestly, I think they're too skinny to repurchase. I will certainly use what I have but I will buy more traditional straws next time. It's just a preference of course and not a flaw in the straws. I attached a few pictures to show the difference between a "regular straw" and these slimmer ones. These straws don't break easily and are fine but, if you prefer a typical sized straw, you may not like how thin these are.

Straws can be used for more than just drinks!
Straws! They were exactly what we needed. Not bendy, just straight forward straws. Maybe you're not looking for straws for drinking out of? My hubby was doing some fiber optic lighting in our yard and needed straight straws to have the fibers go through. Instead of hitting up certain fast food chains around town, we just bought a box. It was exactly what he needed and now we have cool twinkling lights in our yard coming out of a fake rock wall. :)

3.5 Stars a good straight straw
This is a good straight straw. I couldn't give it 5 stars because I like my straws just a bit wider. In fact I like the size of McDonald's straws. However, I don't think they make that size for public consumption.

A straw is a straw. These are not straws one would opt to use for smoothies or any thick liquid but they are perfect for juice/soda/water etc. Quality appears fine for everyday home use - which was the intended use for them.

Not just for drinking!
I have purchased 1000's of these straws from this seller and I couldn't be happier. They are very sturdy and I haven't had a problem with bending or cracking. I'm sure they are fine for drinking less viscous liquids from (not milkshakes) but I use them to fill with honey for honey sticks. You could also use them for camping or backpacking or even sailing when you don't want the contents to get wet. Perfect for sugar, salt, pepper or other fine spices and in a convenient portion. I simply hold one end of the straw with a pair of needle nose pliers near (not in!) an open flame (candles work great) until the end begins to melt and then crimp them with the pliers. Use a small funnel to fill with the desired product leaving a small head space (1/4" or so), melt the open end as stated before, and crimp. Check the seals using a small amount of pressure with your fingers and reheat if necessary. It's easy to view what's in each straw or you can take a fine tipped permanent marker and label the outside. ****UPDATE!**** Seller has exchanged the straws I used to buy with ones with a MUCH smaller diameter, and without notice on updated information on their page. Unfortunately, I have missed my return window or these would have been sent back. I am now trying to find something closer to what was originally offered. I no longer recommend these straws.

Bought these to go with clear plastic disposable cups just to have at home so when I make a smoothie in the morning I don't have to worry about forgetting to wash my cup in time or bringing home from work. They are high quality, I will definitely be buying again!
