Less messy than a pastry bag.
I bought this, because I had so much trouble filling and operating a pastry bag when making macarons. It works great and substantially reduces the mess. The only drawback is that it doesn't hold a lot.

Love it!
Loved this product. Made covering fruit a lot easier and less messy. Must use Bakers chocolate though - tried to throw in some little chocolate chips that we had & it was much harder to use. We also used this on cupcakes for icing and except for the occasional oozing from overload, it worked well. Kids loved using it too.

After using my hands are extremely tired and sore. I even got my husband to try and he said that it takes "the strength of a machinist"- he even struggled. Was surprised at how little wastage there is.

Disappointed
It didn't really work out when I needed to use it for piping butter-cream icing on my cupcakes. I think the icing has to be really almost liquid to work. I have tried this product before for putting batter in cupcake molds and it worked out fine. Unfortunately, for icing purposes, it was not a good idea. I ended up using my traditional piping bag. I felt I wasted my money on this product.

Seems nifty - there are drawbacks.
Lekue's Decomax is clearly a well made piece of kitchen kit and comes attractively packaged. It's silicone and you can stick it conveniently in the dishwasher. The nozzles - in six useful sizes - attach simply and very securely to the silicone main body by means of a raised nodule which accommodates an equal sized hole at the non-business end of the nozzle. The downside is for this device to work well, it really needs to be pretty full. When the mixture for piping is spooned into the Decomax, once the piping operation is begun, mixture tends to gravitate towards the perimeter making it quite clumsy and difficult to use. Aspects of the design which seem good - for example the very large opening into which mixture is put - compromise its function when the item is half full or less. I recently used it to pipe what I considered to be quite a large amount of butter cream - enough to fill and top a 20cm sandwich cake - but found even that was not sufficient to ensure a smooth and easy process. I'd say given its limitations, the price would be hard to justify for all but the most ardent gadget junkie. Disposable icing bags may be a preferable and cheaper alternative.

LOVED IT!
This was designed for busy home-cooks like me: with little time, and with little skill with the piping bag (not all of us are born pastry chefs!). It does what it claims and does it perfectly. You just open the large lid on top, load with a spoon, close the lid, add the nozzle you want, et voila, mess-free, easy-does-it piping in all directions! Easy to clean, you can turn it almost inside out as it's silicone... What can I say? Worth every single penny!
