Unsure about accuracy
Recently received this item. Walked same route two mornings. First day registered 1.1 miles. The next day registered 0.6 miles. I know for a fact the route is 1.3 miles. ???

Good simple way to track steps.
This is a good simple way to track steps for those that either can't afford the whole Fit Bit thing or that just don't want to be bothered with all the syncing and electronic b.s. Accuracy is questionable depending on where you place it, though. So maybe this isn't for the die hards out there, but if your doc says you need to move more, this at least gives you a decent idea of your progress.

Works good enough
This pedometer will give you a guidline on movement. It is not completely accurate for step count but gives one a good guideline on moving and incentive to now just sit around.

Had to return it
This did not count steps correctly. I placed it in several positions but nothing helped. Amazon said I could not return it and that I had to contact Timex. Their customer service was lousy. I called Amazon and told them my story. They gave me a refund. They said I didn't have to send it back. It's now in the garbage.

Flat batteries

Great little pedometer.
First I bought a very inexpensive pedometer and should have known better. It was garbage and I threw it away. I've always trusted Timex and had several of their watches over the years, so thought I'd try this and so far I'm extremely pleased. If you measure your strides exactly and then set them under distance, it measures very close. I've done several tests of walking 100 steps and then seeing what the pedometer reads and it is quite accurate. It is a tiny bit difficult to figure out how to set it for the first time, however, once you've done it the next time is a breeze. Although once it is properly set, there won't be much need to reset it. I very much like the fact that it closes so you can't hit any buttons accidently. So far the little clip is working very well. It is quite tight so it stays on without coming loose or falling off. It tells you number of steps, the distance you've gone and it counts calories, which is a feature I wanted. As far as I'm concerned it is a great little pedometer for the price............as Timex always said: "It takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin".
