i need moderate arch support & these are my favorites - & they're customizable!
I have tried them all, and these are my favorite arch supports. I need only moderate arch support, and i need various height arch support for various shoes, depending upon the support provided by the shoe. For about 2/3 of my shoes i have to add arch supports to prevent knee pain. I buy mostly well-made shoes like Ecco, Helle Comfort and Romika, which do have some arch support already. I use Pedi-fix for shoes that need a small amount of additional support and Dr. Rosenbergs for shoes that need more. The first year i had Pedi-flex, i used them only in my cross trainers because those were the only shoes i had whose sides came up high enough for these arch supports to stay against my foot. But then one day i was saying to myself, "i wish Dr. Rosenberg's came in a thinner height because they're too thick to be comfortable in some of my shoes" and that gave me the bright idea of cutting the thinner PediFix supports into a similar shape so they would fit in sandals, which i wear most of the year b/c i live in a hot climate. (FYI haven't tried this with heels >2".) Here's how i do it: 1) position the arch support in the shoe with the backing still on and with the backing side down 2) put my foot in the shoe (at this point the 90 degree angled side of the arch support is sticking sideways out of the sandal) and i move the arch support around under my foot until it feels comfortable 3) with a pen, trace the inner edge of the shoe (which is visible through the arch support since it is clear) onto the arch support. This will be the cut line. 4) take the arch support out of the shoe and cut along the traced line with sharp scissors (note: hard to do with dull scissors) 5) check for comfort and positioning by putting the arch support (with the backing still on) and my foot in the shoe. when comfortable position is achieved, make pen marks in the shoe at the top and bottom edges of the arch support. 6) Take off the backing and put the newly trimmed arch support in, sticky side down, lining it up with the marks i made on the shoe. 7) sometimes after walking around a bit I realize i need to cut a little more off for comfort. I have done this a couple of times and the arch supports still stick when i put them back into the shoe with some shoes. With others, i have to glue them in with Shoe Goo because of the material the interior of the shoe is made of. This might sound like a lot of trouble, but for me it is SOOO worth it, because I walk and climb stairs a lot, and now my knees never hurt with ANY of my shoes. I love having arch supports that i can customize to fit various shoes.

Plantar Fasciitis Help ! Great So far !!
I bought these as a lark. Now I am singing like a lark !! (sorry had to do the pun). A few years back I had a severe bout of plantar facsciitis. One being more severe than the other and wound up going to a food doctor. I got an injection in each foot once a week for 4 weeks. Did stretching exercises faithfully 3 to 4 times a day. At the end of a month I was in pretty good shape. Problem is, I love wearing sandals (live in Florida) and love going barefoot around the house. The doctor said I could never walk barefoot again and could only wear sandals with great arch support (tough to find) and rarely stretched. Anyway, after 2 1/2 years, during which time I was symptom free, walked barefoot in the house and wore not very supportive sandals. Sure enough a couple of weeks ago the left heel problem came back. As soon as I felt it I started stretching but couldn't take an anti inflammatory because of a medical test I was going to have. So for 2 weeks it just got worse. I dreaded having to go back to the doctors. But was afraid that is what was going to happen. So I started buying insoles, arch supports, etc. Nothing was working. These came after I ordered them but I just didn't think they could work so put them in the cabinet. Yesterday I was in pain, walking was horrific. Now that I could take anti inflammatory meds it just wasn't working. So, I opened the cabinet to see what else I could try and these little things were just sitting there. So, I opened them, followed the instructions and put them on both feet. First, I was amazed they were staying on my feet without tape or glue !! Wow, nice trick ! Then I started walking around the house.. yep in my bare feet (except for the Pedi-Gels) Ouch! Ouch Ouch ! Walked some more. Ouch Ouch. Walked some more. Ouch. Hmmmmm the pain was lessening as I walked. Now, I have to tell you. I am not 100% sure it was the Pedi Gels, but I am not sure it wasn't. I am going to wear these few several more days to test. Including walking in some snake boots when we go camping. I will hopefully remember to report back. But, so far I am impressed !!! (and grateful for no pain)

WASTE OF MONEY - nonreturnable, too
This product has a very poor design. The total thickness at the highest point of the arch is 2.5 mm. That is 0.1 inch!!! It is not going to give you ANY support. The price is steep, and they are non-returnable. I had to go through the ordeal of contacting a live person with Customer Service to get the refund.

They actually do stick to your feet
I was really surprised that these arch supports do stay on the bottom of my foot - no sliding around in my shoes and the adhesive works over and over again. You can actually wear these and walk around the house barefoot. They do not show at all. I live on an island and wear sandals constantly. I have 2 complaints -otherwise I would have given this product 5 stars. 1. The adhesive works so well it is hard to peel the plastic off the protective shield when I want to put them on. (That could be a plus) 2. The arch is not thick enough for my particular foot-I have a very high arch. I have thought about stacking two together-just haven't tried it yet. I do plan to order more.

Comfortable to wear. no shoe bulk. Just arch pad &good for sandals
For Plantar fasciitis you have to have several different aids /devices. At least in my experience, there is no one magic aid. I have high arches too . These are clear so when you must, you can get away with them in open summer sandals and provide arch support without any other bulk in shoes in general. They will stick well for hours , even in summer heat IF you prep the skin with a pre tape prep, like what is used before applying athletic tape...or even just alcohol or a skin glue of some sort. I used these prep pads: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002NS5GGA/ref=aw_cr_item?si=180-4753447-8773300. They are washable and reusable silicone as the directions say. These work the best for me bec some of the orthotics are too hard or high.
