Aruba vs. Saturday Trail pant and capri vs. Just Right Capris. You need to know your body type!
I purchased the Just Right capri, the Aruba capri and the Saturday Trail knee pant and regular long pant in identical sizes. There is quite a bit of difference in fit. The Just Right capri is much looser in the waist and leg compared to the Saturday Trail versions.. They are not baggy, just not as close to the skin. Definitely a more relaxed feel. They are also a few inches longer. The Saturday Trail comes midway across my knee cap, the Just Right capri come a good 2-4 inches below my knee. The Saturday Trail is a bit tight at the waist and as there is no give in the waistband or the ability to custom size by having snaps in several locations along the waist band, I had better not gain any weight! They have a more athletic look to them. This capri could NOT be "dressed up" as it really looks athletic. The Saturday Trail knee pant has an adjustable stretchy elastic through the bottom which you can slide to make it completely closed against the leg or leave open/relaxed where you then have in my case at least a couple inches or so loose. As that piece (which I can't for the life of me remember the name of it right now) is outside the hem, it is visible when worn and gives a very casual sporty look to the Saturday trail capri. Consistency in sizing is important to me and I will pay a bit more to know what I order will fit the same as what I have ordered in the past (provided I have not changed in size of course.) Some manufacturer's are all over the place and I can wear 4 different sizes making it impossible to know what size to order. Here the "fit" difference is more a question of an athletic cut vs. a casual but more versatile cut. The Aruba pant that could be rolled up to a capri length was said to run small so order one size larger was recommended. I did that and it doesn't work for my body type. It did fit around the waist but was so baggy around the butt and particularly around my legs that it looked terrible. Only if overall the cut is a size too small or size to big can going up/down work for you. When it is just the waist which is small and the remainder is cut a size too big it makes for a terrible fit. If you are built with larger hips and legs and a small waist I recommend the Aruba otherwise the fit just won't work for you. With all of the choices it is a matter of knowing how the garment is cut and knowing your body type. I am slimmer in the rear and legs and definitely there is no little waist on my type. If you are built like me, pass this one on by and try the Just Right Capri or the Saturday Trail. The other issue with the Aruba is it had only an exterior button to hold the cuff in place so the inside of the leg kept coming unrolled (especially since it was already too large in the leg). Because the fabric is silky and a bit slippery holding the cuff in place on a pair of pants you have rolled up is critical. Unless you plan to add something to hold them up when cuffed to the inseam, plan on the cuff constantly coming part way unrolled just because of the nature of the cloth (slippery vs. nubby).. So if you are looking for pants that turn into capris I would recommend the Saturday Trail Pant. Yes it runs slimmer just as the knee pants do, but when rolled up it fits closer to your leg and has buttons on both the inseam and outside seam to hold the cuff in place. HOPE THIS HELPS! And to all the buyers who leave detailed reviews THANK YOU. I always look at the customer reviews on Amazon because they are generally so well done

Strange fit
I typically wear a size 4. These pants are very tight in the crotch, and very long in the leg. Would be good for a slender frame.

Length of the trouser should also be disclosed
Since the length is not disclosed, I found it was too long for me. Therefore I need return it.

Runs much smaller than other Columbia pants!
As many other reviews said, these Columbia Women's Full Leg Roll Up Aruba pants run small! The Arubas are definitely very snug/tight in the upper part (waist and butt), when compared to my Columbia Women's Cascades Explorer pantsColumbia Women's Cascades Explorer Pant, Black, 16/Regular which also runs small, but not as small as the Arubas! I sized up one size, to size 16 for the Cascades and thought it would be the same for the Arubas. However the Arubas are much tigher in the waist, and longer- at least 1.5" longer (see photos) in length. I'm a medium/large build, about 5'6" tall and will have to hem the Arubas. Also in comparison, these Arubas were much tighter/snug in the waist (and longer) compared to the same sizes for Royal Robbins Discovery, Ex-Officio Nomad and some REI pants. On the positive side, the Arubas fabric is similar to the Cascades, so I assume they'll dry quickly so great for travel laundry and also lightweight for luggage/packing weight. The colors offered are also practical/easy to match, no weird bright green or yellow colors. The feature to roll the legs up to capri length are also better looking than the "zip off leg" style which looks too casual and bulky in addition to the possibility of losing the zipped off leg pieces or fading/wearing unevenly. The other plus is that these Aruba pants also has an extra front zipper pocket on the thigh, just below the one near the waistband, perfect for cell phone, passport or securing small items. This thigh pocket is just large enough to fit a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with a case. A passport would fit since it's not as tall as the Edge phone. For my travel pants I want that secured, front thigh pocket-essential to keep my cell phone in, much easier than trying to pull it out of a purse or backpack. And it's very difficult to find women's travel pants with this pocket feature. When will these clothing companies finally figure this out??? Anyways, the lightweight, quick drying, and large enough for my cell phone secured front thigh pocket works ok for me during travels. Just wish that the waist was more comfortable and Columbia was more consistent in their sizing, so I'd give them 3.5 stars. If they would fit better or more consistently then probably 4 to 4.5 stars. And of course offering more practical women's travel clothes with the features we need. So with these Arubas definitely size up, one or even two sizes, depending on your body curves. And possibly need to hem, although this length is probably good for the taller persons.

I should have ordered a smaller size
Though Amazon reviewers think these pants run small, I think the fit would be perfect if I'd ordered according to the size chart. I decided to keep them, though. I'll just wear a belt. The fit is very relaxed. The legs are pretty wide, but it looks fine if you roll the pants up, which is how I wear them. It is odd that there's only one tab on each leg for holding up the rolled cuff. There really should be two, one on each side. One star deducted for that.

Worse fit come on Columbia
These are mid low rise pants but the waistband is designed like a high or natural waistline. If they are designed as a mid rise it cannot be measured and cut I. Like a waistline hips are bigger than a waistline come on Columbia. The legs are very frumpy too if I got 1-2 sizes to fit my hips the legs would be enormous. Columbia On the Go pants fit the best but wish they had other colors.

Item small for the size (--> order one size bigger !)
Item small for the size; had to return for bigger size (normally using a 10, needed a 12)

Great product, but limited pocket space
Great material, vibrant color, dried quickly after a downpour, and the top pockets are great for storing those small valuables…like say a cough drop? I’m not sure even chapstick would stay put. Designers have GOT to do better! I don’t want “cute” pockets, especially when I’m out hiking. Thankfully there is one larger zippered pocket below one of the small pockets.

BEWARE! Not true to the size. Why is Columbia sizing all over the place?
This particular style of pant is no where near size 22, it's more like an XL. I have several other Columbia size 22 pants and capri's that fit just fine. I really like the SPF and water repellent qualities, but their sizing is wacky, a 22 in one style is not the same in another, a lot of trial an error to figure out which fit. It's as if the factory they come out of all have different ideas of measurement. What's with that Columbia???

Good for Travelling...do order 1 size up
After reading so many of the reviews on amazon.com, I followed the popular advice to order one size larger. I'm 5'5", slightly overweight at 152lb, and ordered size 16, and they fit perfectly. When the legs are rolled up, they are slightly longer than I would prefer, but they fit so well otherwise, I'm happy to keep them. I like the fabric, the sun protection and the easy-care of them (the other convertible pants that these are replacing were a pain in the neck to iron...they're going in the give-away bag, since these new Columbia Arubas will be much better for travelling.

Great fit
I love these pants!! I usually wear a 12 in the styles with a bit of stretch but these pants have no stretch in them at all so I went up a size. Waist is good and length is also good for me (I usually wear a 33" inseam). I thought if they were too short I'd just wear them rolled up but they work well both ways for me ;)

too small. not true to conventional pant sizes.
I got the same size that I usually wear for pants, but these were way too small. The tag on the pants confirmed the same size was sent that was ordered, but the actual pants were too small. Considering this is a well known brand that sells clothing in Canada ( and would be familiar with Canadian sizing) I am disappointed. These pants also have no stretch to them, and appear to wrinkle very easily.
