It's good enough for its price. Though it says standard size, but the actual ball feels a little bit smaller. I guess it is because of the deeper than usual trace.

Different than the Evolution but still great

I was using a Wilson evolution ball for years but with it recently being stolen I found myself looking for a replacement. Ended up going with the TF just due to shipping times and I have personally not been disappointed. It definitely has a different feel slightly bouncier/harder than the evolution but after a couple of months I’ve broken in the ball and really like using it.

Neue Produktion seit 2022 - nicht mehr wie der alte TF 1000 Legacy! Prallt wie ein Streetball.

Ich bin oder eher war ein großer Fan des TF-1000 Legacy, ich habe bereits drei Bälle dieser Produktlinie mein Eigen nennen können. Da mein letzter Ball langsam aber sicher runtergespielt war, musste also ein neuer her. Also bei amazon einen neuen Ball geordert. Natürlich ist mir nicht entgangen, dass der Ball auf den Produktbildern etwas anders aussieht: das Dunkelrot ist einem Orange gewichen und das klassische TF-1000 Logo wurde modernisiert. Sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig, wie ich finde, aber am Ende ist die Optik für mich zweitrangig. Ich habe den Ball gekauft, in der Annahme, dass er technisch identisch ist mit den Bällen, die ich in den Jahren davor lieben gelernt habe. Was die Form angeht, hat sich auch nichts geändert: der neue TF-1000 Legacy hat wie auch sein Vorgänger ein sehr tiefes Kanaldesign, evtl. sogar noch etwas tiefer, was aber kein Negativpunkt ist. Das war's aber auch an Gemeinsamkeiten. Leider ist das Composite Leather nicht aus dem selben Material wie bei seinem Vorgänger, es fühlt sich viel härter an, kein besonders angenehmes Gefühl, wenn man ihn in den Händen hält. Ich habe dem Ball aber dennoch eine Chance gegeben und ihn sowohl Indoor als auch Outdoor getestet. Leider hat sich hier der negative Eindruck fortgesetzt, der Ball prallt aufgrund seiner Härte viel zu stark, ein Kollege meinte zu mir, er fühlt sich an wie ein Gummiball. Ich konnte ihm nicht widersprechen. Outdoor performt der Ball etwas besser, der Grip ist ganz in Ordnung, er fühlt sich aber ziemlich schwer an, ohne dass ich ihn abgewogen hätte. Ist nur so ein Gefühl, dirbbeln ist ganz ok mit dem Ball, aber werfen macht echt keinen Spaß. Als mir klar wurde, dass ich mit diesem Ball nicht glücklich werde, habe ich aus dem Restbestand eines Händlers noch einen alten Spalding TF-1000 Legacy ergattert. Ich habe beide Bälle im Neuzustand vor mir liegen und kann sie daher perfekt vergleichen. Es ist einfach nicht derselbe Ball, der alte TF-1000 Legacy ist viel weicher, ein echter Handschmeichler, ich habe ihn gestern gezockt und er fühlt sich auch viel leichter an. Vielleicht muss der Ball aus der neuen Herstellung auch etwas eingespielt werden, ich weiß es nicht. Jedoch war es immer das, was den TF-1000 für mich ausgezeichnet hat: er war immer out-of-the-box spielbar, ohne dass man Monate damit verbringen musste, ihn "weichzuklopfen". Schade, Spalding. Auch schade, dass nirgendwo auf der Website ein Sterbenswörtchen darüber verloren wurde, was an dem Ball verändert wurde. Zwei Sterne gibt's noch von mir, weil man mit dem Ball ganz gut dribbeln kann. Der Ball ist kein Fake, habe die Seriennummer geprüft. Er wurde von amazon verkauft und nicht von einem Marketplace-Verkäufer. Das ist leider ein Original-Spalding-Ball. Ich kann nur abraten.
