It's from Oxo
From OXO. I know, CRAZY name for a company. Did they like playing tic-tac-toe? Or kissing and hugging a lot? I gave this as a gift to my brother in law. Not to say he was ever planning on serving us raw meat, though that caveman class he took in community learning had me wondering. Which could be why I bought this for him; some sort of deep-down survival instinct. The best part of this thermometer is you get to stab the meat. which seems cruel because it's already been slaughtered. I don't know what sadist invented this but it works well.

A fast-reading instant-read analog thermometer
This is so easy to use and gives an accurate reading very quickly! I like that it's analog so I don't have to worry about replacing batteries. Dial is easy to read, and the cover for the probe provides temperature guide. Overall a very good item for the kitchen.

Bad button, good customer service
I've been using this model for HVAC for maybe five years now. It is very accurate. I've tested it against high end temp meters, other thermometers, boiling water. It needs to be accurate for charging ACs and it is. The first one I had lasted for years until I dropped it(for the 20th time) and the button broke. Then I ordered a new one and it came with a broken button. I exchanged it and the button broke again after 3 months. Looking closer at the button, it's just two little plastic tabs that seem to push down on the battery. If one of those breaks, it's toast. Anyways, I emailed oxo(past Amazon's return date) and they sent me a new one right away. No strings attached. I wish I had more faith in the button, but at least Oxo takes care of you.

Best thermometer
Love this thermometer. Easy read, accurate reading & lasts a long time. This is my second one ordered. I think you can replace the battery but to me it’s just easier to order a new one. Prompt delivery.

This instant read thermometer works well. I especially like the tilting head which makes reading the temperature so much easier. An excellent quality tool for the kitchen!

Not waterproof but quick and easy to use
Took a star off because I have to be super fussy and careful not to get water near the computer end when washing (moisture enters behind the screen easily). But moisture hasn’t broken it yet. Otherwise, fast and large screen. I enjoy having the temps written in the cover case for quick reference but it is missing fish; which I have to look up every time.
