Not perfect but good enough considering what's out there

This is my second or third time researching amazon for a drain hair catcher. Previously I bought the LEKEYE hair catcher but it didn't work great for my teenager who ended up too lazy to remove the hair, because of all the little nodule (?) things that got in the way that made the hair just slightly more of an effort to take off. This time I was looking for a hair catcher for a different tub and decided to go with this one, which has a smoother surface than the LEKEYE and which looks like the hair would be easier to remove. I do kind of have to pull a *little* so it doesn't just come off totally easily, but it's fine. The water drainage does slow down a bit with this. Water doesn't pool up to the point where my feet are covered but there is some pooling around the drain itself, of soap and water. So not the perfect hair catcher but it seems to have better reviews than the others I have checked out. I am satisfied enough with it so far.

good for those pop-up drains you cannot use other catchers with. I used to have a mushroom which worked well enough to catch hair etc. But now living somewhere with a bathtub that has a pop-up drain and the mushroom style will not work in it. This one caps the pop-up drain and I do notice it catching things. It does not stick on the surface very hard, but it is doing its job.

actually works

i have bought several hair catch drain protectors and this is the best one i have ever had. first time i washed my hair i looked and there was so much hair stuck it. I had never seen that much with other drain protectors which explains why my tub kept getting clogged; half the hair was getting threw. i highly recommend this product

It’s decent enough

It works well to keep hair from going down the drain, and it’s fairly easy to wipe it clean but the holes aren’t big enough to let the water pass fast enough, as others stated. I had to use scissors to cut the bottom row of holes in between each hole to allow for more water flow. Once I did that it worked even better, and still keeps the hair from going down the drain. It can get gross, so it will need to be cleaned regularly but I’d still buy it again.

Does what it should

Now, I have short hair so I don't need to worry about it but my wife has long hair. When using this the water tends to pool, even using a lower water pressure on the shower head, hence I generally move this aside when I shower but put it back for her. No more hair clogs needing to clean, works great for that.

Effective solution

As someone who is constantly battling clogged drains, I was excited to try the OXO Good Grips Silicone Shower & Tub Drain Protector. After using it for a few weeks, I can confidently say that it has exceeded my expectations. The silicone material is soft and flexible, making it easy to install and clean. Does the Job

I bought this thing a while ago and has stood up well to the test of time. It has saved my shower drains from clogging countless times. My only gripe with this product is that it has absolutely no suction power, so while I'm in the shower, it may slide around a bit and let the hair go down the drain. This isn't a huge issue, but it's annoying to keep checking to make sure it's doing what it's supposed to.

Excellent, exactly what I was looking for!

This thing is amazing. The suction is awesome and catches an insane amount of hair. On top of that, it is extremely easy to clean. Being easy to clean was the deciding factor for me; I did NOT want to be investing a ton time cleaning out the hair strands every single day. One swipe and you're done. There is slight pooling, but it doesn't bother me. Highly recommend.

Great for capturing hair

Good product for covering over bath/shower plugs and preventing hair from clogging up plugholes. Easy to remove hair afterwards.

Good. Does job. Not worth the cost though

This has done its job well! The only negative comment is that there is ZERO, and I mean zero suction. It just sits on top of the drain. But, I will say that it doesn’t really move and collects all hair. I do agree with the others that it causes a back up of water at the front of the tub, but never enough where it’s sloshing back to where I’m standing. Would purchase again if the price was lower. I do think it’s a bit too much for what it does. I’d say it’s not worth more than 10 bucks as it’s not “magical” or next level.

Perfect

The flat one fits perfectly in our shower drain, having removed the existing cover. It sits tight, catches everything, is easy to wipe off and doesn't seem to block. It just lifts out to remove it. The raised one we initially used in a tub where it worked really well. We've now got it in another shower where it slows the water draining and causes a bit of water to build up round the drain. Perhaps this just wasn't an issue in a tub. Still catches the hair though.

So much better at stopping hairs going down the plughole than the thing designed by the plug manufacturer.
