Still Concerned with Loose Bristles
Update September 2017 -------------------- I've used this now a couple of times a month for about a year. While the pads have continued to come slightly apart, it hasn't been rapid or extensive (see attached picture). At this point it's not even enough to justify purchasing a set of replacement pads. More importantly, no metal has come loose to the extent that it might get in the food. That being the case, I'm going to upgrade my review from the original 3 stars to 4. Original Review October 2016 -------------------- Just like another reviewer has said, I bought this after seeing the wire bristles coming off my conventional grill scrubbing brush and sticking to the grill. Naturally I was worried that those little chunks of wire might end up in the food, and I had hoped that the woven nature of the pads on this unit would eliminate that concern. Unfortunately, after only a couple of uses I've already seen that the pads have started to come apart. While nothing has come off so far, I can clearly see the potential for pieces of wire to come loose in the future. Admittedly these are in small areas right now, but it means that I'm going to have to keep a close eye on this scrubber, too. My original scrubber had replaceable brushes, and I'm happy that this unit also has that feature. Other than the concern with the weaving of the pads not entirely solving the problem of loose bristles, the workmanship of this scrubber appears decent. Unlike other reviewers, I've had no issues with strength or stripped screws.

Grill Brush that cleans as expected!
Excellent grill brush to get off stubborn residue. Long handle makes it easy to reach all the needed areas. Just a little bit of "flex" in the brush body, so don't push too hard or it might snap as noted in other reviews. Haven't had any issues and love the the pads are replaceable!

Works well but not too durable
I purchased this brush because of the health hazards with the wire bristle brushes. I was finding the wire bristles on the grill after cleaning and I was concerned about one ending up in our food. This brush did an amazing job cleaning my grill and I really like the ability to dip it in water and really clean the grate well. I deducted one star because of the durability of the cleaning pads. After a few heavy uses they begin to shred but at least the broken parts are easily seen and removed before cooking compared to tiny wire bristles. I will continue to use it and order replacement pads.

Safe and Effective Brush
This Outset mesh grill scrubber not only works well but is probably one of the safer brushes to use since the chance of catching a loose wire in your food is greatly reduced with this design. Getting in between and under the grill bars is still a challenge but this cleans the top safely and effectively with some elbow grease. I use a spray on vegetable oil to the paper towel and then on to the grill bars before grilling - this makes cleanup with this tool a lot easier - the food does not stick as bad - but it still sticks to the grates and you have to work to get it clean.

Best grill brush ever!
Magnificent! I have searched for years for a decent brush. The steel bristle brushes are all well and good until you start to see the bristles break off and nearly end up in your food. I had one similar to this scrubber but smaller that was good for a while. When I found THIS product which was bigger, sturdier AND had replaceable scrubbing pads i knew I had hit gold and I was right! Takes all the work out of getting things cleaned up and put away at the end of the night!

Good replacements for my Cabela's grill brush
I couldn't find replacements on Cabela's website. They did the trick and, I'm pretty sure, at a much better price point.

Best BBQ brush
Best BBQ cleaner I have used. As they suggest dip the brush in water and use while the grill is hot for a better clean.

Much Better Than Wire
This brush saves you from the danger of accidentally having wire left behind and ingesting it like this old wire brushes that come in every barbecue set. This one is rough enough to remove all residue plus it actually has screws on the back so when the pads (steel wool) get old you can replace them! My last one only had them attached by glue so this one is a much better product for same price!
