Perfect for Kids Traveling

This bag has a lot of great space to put tablets, change of clothes, crayons and coloring books. Along with water and snacks. Worked perfect for my 3.5 year old on a recent international trip. She was able to carry her day bag through the airport and it tucked under the airplane seat easily.

Great backpack for little kids

I didn't really know what to expect since the listing had such a large age range. I bought this backpack for my 6.5 yo son, who is on the smaller side. He is starting an outdoor program that requires a pack with waist straps and this is one of the few kids backpacks with that feature. When adjusted all the way down, it fits him perfectly! He loves the fact that it has a whistle on the chest strap. We highly recommend this to any kids needing a quality backpack!

Great Day Pack

Bought this for my 10 year old to carry at Disney for 4-5 days. Worked beautifully and the perfect size for a day pack that a child can use. Osprey has always been wonderful and this bag is nothing less than I expected.

If you are petite this is pack for you!!!!

For my petite family members, this is easily the best system I own. In full disclosure, I own 14 Osprey Products!!! Why? Because of what you carry with you into the deadly wilderness fails, you fail. Failure might mean death. Most likely, it will mean nature and the wilderness wins. If you follow me and read my reviews you will know that I have a great appreciation for Osprey Products and their extraordinary quality and utility, yet they always seem to be awesome looking as well! Whoever designs the look of Osprey products is about fearless fashion mastery while being keenly mindful of the heartless deadly nature of nature. The Osprey warranty is the best in the industry because it is highly unlikely you will every need it, but on the so far outside chance that you do, no matter when, you simply send it back or send a photograph of the damage and they will either repair or replace the product post haste... No matter how long we are talking about. THAT is a company that has the highest confidence in their products. Second, for full disclosure, I have not been compensated for this review, and I own 14 or more Osprey products. All that said, I did not have this particular size and design so I ordered it and WOW!! The design and function is only exceeded by the product appearance appeal! Truly exquisite design and engineering delivered perfectly in every way. This size is perfectly suited for its design and there is no wasted or frivolous space. Utterly masterful in how Osprey always seem to get it right. Funny story, my Son purchased another brand when shopping for travel gear and he asked my impression of the two products; the other brand and the Osprey product. I recommended the Osprey product and yet, my Son purchased the other big name brand. While he isn't disappointed in that product, he is VERY envious of my Osprey products, so much so that I got him an awesome Osprey backpack and an Osprey Waist Pack and he is utterly flummoxed with the extraordinary quality and design. To be honest, so am I. Any of Osprey's products solve many problems and no matter your adventure, you will get there better and happier with Osprey's solutions, this being one of their very best! If you’re balking at the price, don’t. You’ll have this forever. So will your children

Love Osprey. Excellent quality.

The new purple bag replaces the red bag. All zips intact (this seems to be the main thing that breaks on cheap back packs ) The old red bag is just less functional as the net storage are quite literally worn out!!! Excellent durable and functional qualities. I spent ages looking for this brand again as you can see the Osprey name has worn off the red bag and l put in the wrong search. Pretty certain the old red bag is did up to 4 and a half years service and was washed numerous times. The Osprey bags are double lined with many useful zipped pockets and as well as being good to look at they are totally ergonomic in use. As soon as l could find this item was happy to pay that bit extra, l thoroughly recommend this brand. The purple bag in pic 2 was only about £8 but only did 12 months service before the zips started breaking.

Good quality but too little storage for that amount of weight

I am aware that this kids version is already lighter than any Osprey tempest, but it is still just so heavy for so little storage space compared to other bags. All point of why I returned it: 1. It does not fit on a 6 year old. I would say maybe an 8 year old. 6 years and the bag ended at under her bum. No way to use the hip belt like that. 2. Due to the stiff back, the interior is even less flexible so it feels that maybe 5 liters fit in. There is no flex in stuffing things inside. 3. For the weight (almost 700gr) I can get any smaller kids pack that will fit the same or more litres for half the price at half the weight. (Like an Ergobag Easy Large) And if you say: But reviewer, it needs over engineered solutions for hiking! Then go for the Jack wolfskin for kids, that weights the same, has a seat cushion and fits 20L! I do love the aesthetic of this bag a lot. It is very high quality, has very well crafted things. I might try it out again once kiddo is older, but it has just too many drawbacks right now.
