Durable, Easy to Read, and works for me as a Women's Watch

Yes, the face is much darker than the Amazon photo suggests, and yes, 42 mm is large, but to my surprise, these two feature have grown on me. I plan to wear this watch for a casual look: high on the arm, close to the cuff of rolled up sleeve jacket. I love how the large dial feels like an extension of the jacket cuff and is easy to read. I also happen to have a pair of shoes that match the watch band. I beat up my watches, constantly scratching up the crystal and the metal rim around the crystal, and so these relatively inexpensive yet durable Timex watches have been my go-to for decades. Love the water resistance (yes, my Timex watches have survived a trip through the washing machine) and the indiglo feature (indispensable at night). I'll be wearing this watch mainly in the fall and early spring. Will have to find another watch for the summer months, something that looks better when wearing a T-shirt. ...Women's fashion can be tricky, even for those of us who are not fashionistas!

When I was a kid you had to wind your Timex and there was no indiglo but Timex watches would last forever. They ran an add strapping a Timex to an outboard motor and driving it across a lake. The announcer would remove it a give the Timex slogan "takes a licking and keeps on ticking" and they sure did. Today's battery operated indiglo Timex watches are disposable at best. The past several years they last me three months to maybe two years if you get a good one. I'm a pretty simple guy and just need my watch to keep accurate time and hold up for awhile, it's a crap shoot with today's Timex watches. Guess you get what you pay for as they are somewhat inexpensive and I never saw the purpose of wearing a $10,000 Rolex on my wrist. Have the same watch for about two years and the indiglo has stopped working and I had to change the strap, hope to get two years out of this one too if I'm lucky again. FYI- the watch I ordered was not tied into the two rear holes of the packaging and fell out when opened,the crystal and case had a big thumb print across them and the leather strap had creases where it had been tried on. When I buy something new I prefer a new product and not somebody's used return item.

Great value but ticks loud

I really like that it is a low price option that is very universal. The one con to the watch is it ticks rather loud. I have to place it in a drawer at night otherwise I go crazy.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! & STILL DO!

I've had so many compliments on this watch and love it. So many people want to know where I bought it. The color of the watch face is a little misleading in the photo because it is more of a pale brown than shown and matches the band beautifully. Love the ease of reading the time at a glance because of it's size but it's not gaudy or over big. UPDATE: After more than a year of wearing this watch to work every day, being whacked a few times and even slightly wet a couple of times, it's still working perfectly albeit with a couple of superficial scratches. The band is still in great condition. Couldn't be more happy and would buy another one in a heartbeat if I needed one.

Ticking is LOUD

I thought it came with a dead battery right out of the box but all I had to do was push the crown back in. Feels a little weird on the wrist at first but you get used to it. When reading other reviews I thought the loud ticking noise wouldn't be much of a problem but it really is that loud. At night I have to put it in a drawer because the ticking is so loud I can hear it across the room.

I love the size and simplicity of the watch face

I love the size and simplicity of the watch face. I was disappointed by the mirrored hands (not obvious from the pictures) and the watchband is too small for my large wrist. Nevertheless, I replaced the hands with those of another Timex model and the watch is now among my favorite for elegance, clarity, and value. I'd have given this watch a 5 if I didn't have to modify it myself.

Make sure you want a darker face on the watch

The leather is good, a little stiff but good quality. If did not realize that the face of the watch was so dark, if I knew that I would of not purchased it.

Highly Amazed

This is, quite simply, an amazing product. Best watch I've ever ordered. High quality steel dial with a genuine leather strap that matches the numbers and hands in color. Makes a good casual or dress watch. Absolutely love it. Kudos, Timex, on a job well done.

Best watch ever !!!

Absolutely love this watch. It's big & I love big watches. The time is so easy to see as the hands stand out great on the black background. I love that it does not have any extra clutter on it, just the time. The leather strap looks good & is very comfy. Keeps perfect time...can always depend on Timex. Best looking watch I have ever had.

Excelente Producto!!!

Llego muy lento, tardo 2 semanas, pero el reloj esta excelente!, mejor que fotografía, funciona perfectamente, y el precio es inigualable en comparación con los precios excesivos de tiendas departamentales y centro comerciales de México, casí al 60% de su precio.
