My favorite tank accessory! Versatile and beautiful.
I use this tank ornament in 2.5 gallon drum bowls with my bettas... I rotate it through each of my tanks and all of the fish just love it. I was worried when I ordered it online that the whole thing would float, since the plant, in a Fluval, is intended to be mounted upside down (I think)... but actually this is PERFECT for a standard tank this size or slightly larger. Don't buy it for your 1-1.5 gallon; I tried. Plant too big.) At first, placing it the way I wanted it was a challenge. Now I fill the tanks with three or four inches of water, place the ornament, and then pour the gravel in on top of it and spread it out. This weighs down the gridded bottom perfectly. Then I finish filling the tank with water. The two tendrils are absolutely gorgeous and provide a hiding place and as well as an engaging activity for the fish, who love to swim around and between them. It also helps me provide variety in my tanks, since the tendrils can be moved around, lengthened, and tangled gently as you see fit.) They are actually secured with a simple knot to the gridded plastic of the mat, so you can adjust them if you like (I made mine shorter.) They are a smooth, rubbery material that is seamless and provide no threat to betta fins. The leaves in the center are more of a burgundy than a fuscia as seen in the photo, but poseable and the fish like to rest on them. The colors look good with my blue, red, and black/purple fish. The lily pads are simple and realistic, which is nice, so they don't stand out. They give a nice Asian feel to the tank and I still have room to add a rock sculpture, bridge, elephant, or stack of pebbles. I am here now online again looking for similar accessories... I want an orange one! You can't go wrong with this tank decoration!

Beautiful! (after one minor tweak)
My beta's tank was getting a little blah, so to speak, so I thought I'd spice it up a bit with a new decoration! I have the Fluval Chi 6.6g aquarium and just had some rocks in the basket with a bamboo sculpture in the middle of it. I came to amazon (my go to site that has never failed me) looking for something to spice things up a bit. I saw the Fluval Chi lily pad and plant decoration and thought that it would match perfectly with my beta, Petri. I read some reviews saying that the whole decoration just wouldn't stay put at the bottom and that it would float to the top which made me a bit weary. I decided to purchase it anyways because it just looked so cool and for $10, I figured I wasn't really going to lose much if it turned out to be a dud. Now, two days later, my decoration has arrived! Alas, the reviews about the whole piece floating turned out to be true. Luckily I used a tiny bit of brain power to apply a quick fix and you'd never be any wiser unless I told you. You see, there are spaces at the bottom of the grass piece because the grass "sprouts" in patches, if you will. So the spaces in between the grass are perfect little hiding spots for a few rocks. And as we all know, rocks sink! Ta-da! No more floating decoration. This turned out to be a much easier fix than trying to tie the whole thing down or just tossing it out and loosing $10 bucks. It now looks amazing in my tank and I do believe my beta has a bit of a spring in his swim, thanks to his new, spectacular decoration... (Although that may just be me attempting to apply human-like characteristics to an animal that could care none the less. But hey. At least one of us can truly enjoy it!)

Looks gorgeous in the Fluval Edge!
I absolutely adore this little aquarium ornament/plant and wish I would have bought it the very first day I ordered my Fluval Edge because it has given life and so much color to my tank and my fish love it. I was reluctant in the beginning to put anything else in my tank except the one decoration because I did not want to take away from my fish swimming space. After a few months went by though with the strong/harsh contrast of my black gravel and only the fish popping some color here and there I gave in and bought this on the spur of the moment and I have not regretted it one bit. It looks completely natural and blends in perfectly and all the fish love it. The reason I gave this 4 stars and not 5 is because I had to tie the 2 longest vines and the knot was pretty big/thick so the plant could not be placed as deep as necessary in the gravel. Overall I would buy this again and I definitely recommend it.

Fake and Rubbery But It Serves Its Purpose...
Well, I have always resisted fake stuff in my main aquarium and preferred to keep it bare minimum in my quarantine tank. But, for the sake of my poor fish in quarantine, I figure we can clean out the fake ornaments in between batches of new fish, and I bought this rubbery Lily Pad. With the benefits of hindsight from other reviewers, I placed some pebbles in between the faux grass to keep the ornament down - not a big deal. My main gripe - the stem/stalk is rather thick and definitely looks/feels rubbery, and too long for a Fluval Chi 5. If you have one of those tanks, you would know that there is a minimum level that the water must be at for the filter to work, which is rather high up in the tank. And with the constant evaporation, there is really no choice but to keep the water level close to the top. And you would probably end up buying a lid like I did to prevent any fish from committing kamikaze in the process. The end result? A giant compressed in a small tank. Well, at least the fish are happy.

LOVE it but not for its intended purpose!
I ordered this to sit on top of my Fluval Chi aquarium which is what the product is meant for. It's a solid, well made piece, but it looked a little silly with the plastic plants being on top of the tank. So why am I giving it a 4 star rating? Because it looks great INSIDE the aquarium as a decorative piece. I placed it on top of the Fluval lotus plant I bought, and it fills the tank beautifully...of course I did add a few silk flowers to finish the look of the tank to match my bedroom.

Looks Fantastic
Despite the confusing and mixed reviews I read on this product, its fantastic. It's for the top of the Chi Tank in the filter compartment. I just gave it a quick wash and popped it on, worked immediatly and looked fantastic. I have the same design item for the internal part of the tank and they both compliment each other perfectlu. Highly recommended to add some class to the tank and far nicer than the horrible pebble basket it comes with.

Looks nice but problems.
Perfect for my Fluval Chi tank which I use for fry from my main tank. However, the lilies floating properties pull the plant away from the container, it needs to be weighted with pebbles. I cut off the stems of the lilies and just floated them on top as they were getting tangled and looked unsightly.

A very cool looking adornment
I think some people who posted did not realise that this fits perfectly into the box that sticks to the bottom of the aquarium, and not on the top box like some people suggested it is intended to be submerged and it looks fantastic.

A little disappointing.
Overall, it is a nice product. But the colour of the plastic part which looks like a rock changes gradually. It happened in some months. And the plastic grass is all bent and looks very ugly.
