Great quality cross country jacket.

This Brensholmen Jacket is my first experience with the Odlo brand. I am a very outdoorsy and active person and am always on the lookout for new brands. Odlo describes their brand: "We strive to stay one step ahead, weaving our Norwegian heritage and Swiss engineering into modern, functional and comfortable sports apparel." This Brensholmen jacket is a soft shell that is windproof, lightweight, breathable, and water resistant. This jacket has nice design features like a brushed interior, full zip, side zip pockets, curved and adjustable bottom hem, and reflective details. The "Black - Odlo Graphite Grey" color is neutral, classic, and sporty, offering subtle geometric contrast. Amazon only offers this color in the listing for this jacket, but Odlo provides three additional options that are more colorful. This Brensholmen jacket is a very versatile piece. Although marketed for cross country skiing, it could be used for a variety of outdoor activities. It strikes a nice balance between lightweight breathability and warmth. It's very packable and excellent for travel. This jacket is also a great layering piece that can work in tandem with other cold weather gear. Because we are in the warmer months, I haven't had a chance to use this jacket for skiing. But, I have been enjoying it on hikes - It's great to throw on when the sun goes down. For reference, I am 5'5" tall 110 lbs 30D with a straight body shape and long limbs with a short torso. I typically wear a size 0 or XS. After glancing at Odlo's size chart, my body measurements fall within the range for the XS size. I ordered this Brensholmen jacket in a size "Small" because the XS was not offered to me. As expected, this jacket fits me generously. But, I don't mind that it is a bit big on me because it means that I can layer a fleece underneath it. I would say this jacket fits true to size and recommend ordering your usual size or one size up if you want a looser fit.

Soft, super comfortable, lightweight ski jacket and windbreaker.

So far, I'm very happy with this light ski jacket. It's attractive, simple and comfortable. The jacket fits true to size and has a slightly baggy fit. If you like a tight fit, go a size down. The material is very soft and resists dirt. I can tell it will last a long time and be easy to clean. The jacket is breathable, you can wear it while working out and not get overheated. But it also shields you from the wind. By itself, the jacket is not very warm. The interior is soft and has a light fleece lining, but the material is on the thin side. I've been wearing it with long sleeve t-shirts in low 50s to low 60s weather. But, add a fleece-lined undershirt and it's good for the 40s and high 30s. The material is 100% polyester, which helps to regulate temperature and is extremely durable and waterproof. This jacket also has reflective details for nighttime sports or walking. The jacket has side, zippered pockets. The zipper in the front feels very well made and strong. Great light jacket, would recommend.

This is a high performance jacket that is perfect for a variety of sports. It allows good freedom of movement which makes it a nice choice for cross-country skiing. The interior has a lightweight fleece that provides good insulation. The front also has a full-length zipper that is of excellent quality. This jacket is ideal for running or cross-country skiing. It keeps you warm without making you overheat. This is a high-performance, excellent quality item that would make a thoughtful gift for the athlete in your life.
