Our young son wanted a clear pair of goggles to better see the fishes, coral and underwater details, rather than one with tinted lenses. He's a good swimmer, and it was time to upgrade him from the cheap goggles that leak and get him a real pair. Odd, the stores only had tinted competitive goggles for kids, except for the prescription goggles. I have the adult version of these goggles, and they are great for me. Great fit, great vision. So, I was very happy to find a youth version. BUT ... like other reviews, there may be a problem with the bridge. The first pair I got via Amazon was defective and returned for a replacement. We could not swap out of the regular bridge for the smallest bridge. I watched the official video and watched some other Youtube videos of how to change the bridge. But we could not insert the smallest bridge with just our fingers. We even tried smashing it in with pliers, but the smallest bridge would not click in and stay. When we got the replacement pair, at least the smallest bridge fit. But, I didn't hear or feel a satisfying click when I inserted it. Still, my son tried it on and it stayed together. We were very happy to use it at the beach about 3 times in about 5 weeks. But ... you know what happened, right? They broke, and disappeared into the ocean while my son was playing in the onshore waves. My son said he felt it come apart at his nose ... and then they were gone. His mom said it was a strong wave. He was sad. *sigh* I just ordered another pair, and hope that third time's a charm, and that we get a pair with a small bridge that clicks in as it should. Otherwise, the goggles are so good, I'm thinking of gluing the bridge it. (Hence 2 stars, not 1 star.) Speedo, please investigate and fix your production, as others have noted similar issues. Like another parent said, $18 for competitive goggles that break after only a few uses is upsetting. Also, I know gluing plastic is tricky. Speedo, it would be nice to know which glue to use (and avoid)!
