I live in an O'Neill household. It's PERFECT. Excellent deal at only $65!!!. Couldn't ask for more.
I'm 6'2'', 203lbs, 44'' chest, broad shoulders, 36.5'' waist, 41'' hip, and the XL fits PERFECTLY. I've added this shorty to my growing O'Neill water gear collection, which also includes an Epic 4/3 full wetsuit, Reactor USCG life vest, Superlite USCG life vest, and Reactor Reef water shoes (which I purchased 2 summers ago). Although I haven't taken this to the ocean yet, I already highly recommend ANY O'Neill products due to my experience with their water shoes & because I've been a consumer of theirs in one way or another since I was a kid. Get this shorty!!

Arrived with small amount of damage
Arrived with small gauge in chest panel. Do not have time to send it back in time for my trip. A bit disappointing. I’m sure over time, it will turn into a hole.

Big Sizes Great! 5XL Short
I live in LA. As I've gotten older, I hardly get into the ocean at all. I ordered this suit hoping I'd get over being wimpy about the cold (65 deg) water and get into the ocean more for boogie boarding/body surfing. I haven't been in the water with the suit yet, but I had to write this up for all the folks with the same trouble as I've had finding a suit that fit. I've been all over the internet nothing seemed close. I'm 5'10", 295lbs, 49" chest, 57" beer belly!, 18" neck, 53.5 hips and the 5XL short fits well! The 5XLS size guide says 52-58 chest, but still fits my 49 inches ok. Not baggy, though the sleeves are down to my elbows. The 5XLS' 45-53in waist fits my 57" gut fine. Not too tight. Legs are just right. The zipper is YKK, but plastic. That's the only thing to give me pause. I ended up spending $171, but I've seen prices lower, just not for this size. I hope putting all these personal details helps someone out there. I kept reading write ups by 6'3" 190lbs folks that were no help.

O'Neill Usually Comes Through- From an Old Salt
Being an older surfer now, I have learned that it's pretty hard to beat O'Neill, all things considered, when it comes to wetsuits: quality, comfort, durability and the repair center not too far from me. This one is pretty good. It could use a little more room in the midsection but easy to put on and just right late spring summer water temps in San Diego. Nice and flexible in the shoulders for paddling (critical). A little tight in the neck but you get used to it quickly. This is an XL which is about right for a 6', 200 lb guy. Great value with all going on that it is sub $100.00

Just right for me
As I shelter in place across the street from the ocean, I really wanted to get out there and surf and/or play in the water with my kids. I couldn't quite get used to 60*F water temps. (neither could they) So I bought the family wetsuits. This was my choice. I'm 5'9", 200 lbs, so I got the XL short. Fits me perfectly. Feels like a wetsuit should. If anything, I thought it might be too big when I tried it on dry.. they always loosen up a little in the water. But not so on this one.. It's very consistent from the dry try-on fitting to being in the water. I was in the 63*F water for an hour and had no issues in this. I have a little higher than average water temp tolerance, but I'm no polar bear. I got my 8-yr-old a full suit and he was comfortable the whole time as well.. different brand. 2-3mm is really awesome for a wide variety of situations. I will use this for kayaking as well. The shorty makes it even more versatile for me. I'm very pleased with this wetsuit. I feel like the value is there also. However, I've always liked O'Neill. btw, the front of the suit has the brand name in a cool font.. but my son had to ask me.. "Dad, what does 'One Ill' mean?" ha!

Great fit, supple neoprene
Needed a new suit for scuba diving in the Caribbean. Ordered 4 in all to try - this was the most expensive but a prior reviewer had said it was worth it for the premium neoprene. Well he/she was right - night and day compared to the cheaper suits. Shout out to amazons return service - really easy to return the three suits I didn't want..

Check size chart carefully
I purchased the regular medium which is supposed to be for a person 2-3 inches taller who weighs 20 lbs LESS. However it fit perfectly - keep in mind my frame is muscular. So I would recommend that you size up if you are above average in size. Basically look at the weight section and purchase accordingly.

Great quality but run small
Very nice looking and good quality wetsuit. The only issue was the sizing chart. I am 5’ 10” and weigh 185 lbs. According to the chart the xls should have been perfect for me but it was small everywhere. Neck, shoulders, crotch and arms. Keeping my fingers crossed that the next size up will work for me.

Good fits a bit tight.
I am 5 9 med tall. I ordered a med tall. I have a little gut and weigh 160 lbs. I used it every day last week in Hawaii. I went for longer snorkeling than usual because I was not cold.
