Love these handy things.

I have had an antique set of expanding trivets for years. My daughter was coveting mine so I found these and ordered them as a gift for her. They are well built and look very chic on the table...besides making hot dishes easy to handle. May order some more for myself.

Plastic handles are good for carrying oven-hot pans and for serving

This is hard to fit anything bigger than 12.5", BUT, put your pan in sideways, and you can transport a 13" hot dish to the table very securely. The handles are plastic so they do not transfer heat, and spaced from the sides to not burn. It sits just over an inch from the surface- keeping it from scorching my table. Holds my 12.5 French Corning ware oval pan really well. Smaller than 8" as the long side is not as secure as I want to bring it into another room. Also got the stainless steel expandable trivet Amazon compares to this one.

Stretching

I like the holder but you really have to pull to stretch it to fit a 9x13 pan. But otherwise it's good. Stretch before you fill your dish to fit

A must if you use a lot of casseroles

This is a must have if you use and carry a lot of casseroles. It keeps them stable and helps protect you table when serving it at the table.

Perfect size

I needed something to hold a small tray off the ground so my Cocker Spaniel would get the water she needed with her food. As a puppy mill breeder dog, she lost her thirst drive, so I have to give her a lot of water with meals to get her to drink. I would have rated this 5 stars, but after only a couple of months, one of the handles came off. I was able to push the handle back on, but it will come off again.
