Nice, solidly made
I had grown tired of buying the air filters that are sold in the depot stores as they seem to be made out of the cheapest possible materials and by the time I change them had usually begun to fail and to be sucked up into the fan etc. I purchased these with hopes that at least the structure of the filter would be strong enough to survive the period of use without failing. I was very happy that the cardboard structure itself is made from a nice heavy gauge material and don't seem likely to fail. In reviewing the MERV things I saw that these would be considered "hospital grade" which is good. The filter density doesn't appear to be that much different from other filters we have attempted so I will take the MERV claims at face value. Since this isn't a hospital setting anyways here I am not worried, what matters most to me was that the cardboard can withstand the 60 days without failing and going limp and I do think these will do well. Very happy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect size and easy to install.
I've used these filters for years in my rental property. Price is right, quality is good. It is convenient and beneficial to order filters in packs. So often stores run out of this size and you can only get 2-3 at a time. With a pack you order and plenty on stop and you don't run out. I recommend you get these shipped inside another Amazon box for a little extra protection.

This worked as a replacement for my old filter. It fit snug and I didn’t have to fight with it to go in or rig it.

Filters slightly smaller then store bought filters
The filters are great and seem to filter very well. They are slightly smaller in the height and width then department store filters, but a couple of pieces of cardboard from the old filter(as shims) and your good to go.

Air Quality Nerd Approved
I’ve been extremely interested in maintaining the air quality in my home ever since I bought an air quality meter. The one metric I couldn’t seem to get under control was the VOC’s. I used the exact same Nordic Pure filters with the same MERV rating as these previously. When I switched to these with the charcoal filter included I watched my VOC’s drop by 50% in 24 hours. Very impressed! Small improvement in overall air smell in the home as well. Highly recommend!

Quality!
These arrived well packaged inside a solid cardboard box. I have a hard time finding quality filters this size (20x20x1") in my local hardware stores, and rarely on sale. This package saves money, and means I have a supply for about a year. The quality is excellent compared with any I have seen locally (flimsy). I appreciate the high MERV ratings on these filters. I have heard though that in the summer if using air conditioning (I have a heat pump that runs through my furnace) it's better to use a thin filter so the fan doesn't have to work so hard. Apparently the air conditioning moisture traps the dust so the better filters are not needed. But in the winter I use these quality filters. Will definitely buy again.

Great value
Fits nicely and no issues. Changed out first one after 2 months (2 cats and 2 kids), and it has really held its form well.
