NiLight Tailgate Light
The media could not be loaded. Great product, super bright. 4 / 5 only due to installation provided instructions and terrible. Thank you YouTube and Online Forums, sounds like this is a common complaint for this style of lights, various makers. I ended up removing my tailgate and installing the light bar. Used the mounting screws due to the peel and stick not working and the bed of my Colorado has.raised edges and the middle part doesn't touch the bed. Plug and play into the trailer light plug, was the easy part, needless to say. Reverse light, removing the left tail light and tapping into the light there and power. I like the light a lot but..... NiLight do better with your instructions and website videos!

Illuminating Safety!
The media could not be loaded. First impression... This is a great LED Light Strip! I have had other similar light 'bars' but none were as bright as this one from Nilight. There is a low-intensity red running light when parking or head lights are on. The brake light is very bright and full width. The signals and flashers are 'sequential' meaning the amber lights 'travel' from the center outward and get your attention. Reverse illuminates a full width white-light strip that provides backup warning and additional reverse lighting. This is not instructional. My comments are for general information only. If not comfortable with this installation please have someone experienced assist you. My installation was completed on a cold day. I (gently) warmed the light strip and mounting surface with a hair dryer. The surface on the truck was cleaned with rubbing alcohol. Alcohol is flammable!!! Do not use near fire, flame or electric tools (hair dryer) until completely evaporated and the area is well ventilated. I was working outside. Test the light strip before installing. Further, be sure the signal lights are on the correct side. The LED strip has full-length mounting tape that adheres to the painted surface. I lightly twisted the wires and wrapped with tape for additional protection. The reverse wire tap was made behind the left tail light assembly. This is the only electrical connection you need to do yourself. You should attach the reverse tap to the positive wire feeding the standard reverse bulb. I found the correct wire with a volt meter. If you are not comfortable with this task please find someone with the necessary skill to assist you. Wires were tie-wrapped as necessary under the truck. The unit plugs into the trailer light receptacle. See photos and video. Overall, the installation was not difficult. The light strip is extremely bright, even in daylight; however, it cannot be directly seen when following close to the vehicle. That said, it is still very bright and a great safety accessory.

The Sheth on the wires makes it hard to put connectors on. But if the wires are stripped back farther it works fine.very bright.

This light would have received five star except for the fact that under wet conditions the lights go a bit Haywire. I've tried combating this with Dielectric grease and it seems to help a little but does not completely solve the problem

GREAT PRODUCT
Awesome product! Finally got it working and it works perfectly. I have a Chevy 1500 2019 and tried it plugged in and, tapped in behind the plug but it wasn’t working due to the Chevy having the auto trailer recognition system. i would get an error message on my dash saying a trailer disconnected. I then tied my wires right behind the two tail lights and now it works like a dream!

Great So Far
First Day Review: I bought the 3 row, 60" strips a few weeks back and just installed them last night on my 2016 F150 XLT Super Crew. I liked them so far. Here are some thoughts: - 4-pin Trailer Harness: Before installing anything, I wanted to test out the 4pin harness connection. I opened the box that the LEDs came in and pugged them right into my 4 pin trailer hookup. All the signals and LEDs worked, but there seemed to be a delay. For example, when the flashers were on, the amber lights on the LED strip would come on a split second too late and not finish before another blink was fired. It was off. Next, I drove around for about 20 minutes with the trailer connection and the LEDs in my bed. I kept receiving trailer connecting and trailer disconnected messages. So I did not use the 4pin harness. - Wiring: I did not use the 4pin connector and did not want to splice into the wires in the trailer hookup wiring. Instead, I spliced the wires at the driver's side backlights (for power, left blink, reverse and ground) and the passenger side (for right blinker). I ran new wires down to a central point near the driver's side. I had to do a few searches to find which color wire was what... but once I did it all came together easily. Not sure if this approach was best, but it worked for me. I will need to go back later and make sure the wiring is 100% watertight with some type of a junction box. And I need to add some protective plastic shielding where the wires touch metal. But I just wanted to get this done last night. - Installing the LED Strip: The strip comes wrapped around itself, in a small-ish box. When I was ready to install them on the truck they kept trying to roll back up... this made it tough to do (more about this below). If I was to do this again I would have laid them out for a few hours (or overnight) so they flatten out. Before installing I cleaned the bed thoroughly with soap/water, a degreaser, and made sure it was dry. Once clean I used took time to center the strip and placing a small piece of electrical tape onto the bed of the truck and the strip to know where the center point is in case it moved. I started on the side of the drive, peeling off a little tape. I applied a bead of rtv silicone adhesive to the bed and pushed the stip against the bed, holding it there for a minute or 2. I worked my way across the bed, ensuring it was lined up/even with the bottom of the tailgate (where I thought it looked best. I had some issues with the beginning of the strip pulling up by the time I go to the end. And then I had issues with the end once I went back to the beginning. I ended up jamming a roll of electrical tape on both ends for an hour or so to ensure it stayed. - Overall: They are super bright. That is both awesome and might be weird. Awesome for more visibility to bad drivers around me. And being able to back up with more light is great. Weird because of them just being too obnoxious. If someone in the car behind me is blinded, that sucks. I may need to have a buddy drive the truck while I drive a car to see. Again I dig these so far. I will update with pictures and more thoughts as I have them.

Awesome
This product is awesome , lights all work on a different LED line so brake lights and signal lights work when used at same time. Four way flashers are very impressive amazing to look at. Running lights stay on when lights are on, and back up lights are so bright you can see long distances when using it. It also customizes the vehicle you have them on. This product is well worth the money. Highly recommend this product. When you receive it in the mail you will receive these items: 1 heavy duty light strip 60 inches long , 3 clips with screws , and the plug and play wire set. Also the adhesive on the LED strip has a very strong holding strength , I give this product a strong 10 out of 10. Well worth paying the extra money as you do receive a heavy duty set. AWESOME PRODUCT.

Decent but slow
These lights install easily. The flexible material helps installation on trucks like the new 2020 Rams that don’t have flat/flush surfaces to mount on. Nice and bright. Downside: they suffer what we consider an annoying delay. Brake light come on much slower than other lights (for comparison, our camper taillights are instant with the truck but this light bar has a long delay. Slowing in traffic often results in the lights appearing after I’m already speeding by back up. Turn signals are yellow (that’s fine, they stand out) but they too have a lag time. You can change a lane just as they activate.
