Nice Watch - Looks and feels like it should last - Happy

This is a Nautica watch. They are not a traditional watch maker. However, they sub contracted this out to Timex. It appears well made. It is a solar watch. Works perfect so far. It is not a dive or sailing watch as it is only water resistant. This means it will hold up to sweat, rain, and brief amounts of water. I did wash dishes and forgot it was on and no problem. However, if you sail and get it wet often I suspect you will eventually have problems. It is more for the 4th of July picnic at the sailing club. It looks great. Sailing flags are bright. Everything looks sharp in a great way. As long as you remember it is water resistant and not a 100M dive watch you will love it.

Expensive costume jewelry for men

It’s a very nice watch - it is essentially what used to be called costume jewelry - looks great even up close. But it’s nothing special. It has no convenience features. You can’t click on the stem to advance the date - you’ll have to twist the stem till you get to the date you want. The bezel timer dial is fixed - it’s just for show. The movement was made in China (wow, what a surprise). But overall it looks great to wear around with casual dress. It reminds me of those pretend expensive watches you see in the shops on a cruise ship. Like the dirt cheap Piaget watches with pave’ diamonds on the face. Then you look closely and the brand is Paget. The most clever thing is that it’s battery powered with solar charging. I paid too much money for it - it’s worth maybe $39. But I really like it.

Dependable, stylish, rugged,

No functional issue with this watch yet, I bought it on sale for good value, my only gripe is the bezel doesn't rotate, and i hate that because there are many uses for it. To be fair the majority of solar dive watches under $100 are all then same (from Casio, Timex, Seiko) so it must be some retarded agreement between manufacturers or something they all think we agree with as consumers, WE DONT! Water resistance could have a better rating too, but I have not had an issue yet. good watch for the money if you need one, and it lives up to its name for a dependable beach watch

Great everyday watch

This watch is a great every day watch. It looks good, keeps good time, and it being solar powered is great. I have a Seiko that is solar powered that I really like. I bought this one just as a second watch and it has become my everyday watch. I will never buy another battery powered watch. I had a used smart watch that I got from a family member. I felt like I was always charging it, and I really did not use most the functions. Only one CON: the band is sort of cheap, so I bought a velcro band and it works great. I would buy it again.

easy to read solar for under $100.

This watch is good looking for sport or dress. Easy to set and read. good size .comfortable to wear with no poking knobs. But it is a Timex. It gets 4 stars because of the Chinese movement. small date window . 50 meter water resistance and 1 year warranty. It is an upgrade from the Gallatin but not near the quality of Seiko for $100. I would buy on sale and compare features on other models .No special features on this watch.

Good bang for your buck

Pleasantly surprised I have to say, good material, it has a nice weight to it. Very clear and seems well put together. Never had a solar watch so it was pretty cool watching it come to life once I went outside. First day I used it for work I quickly got a few compliments. Only thing is I wish it had a slightly larger case (its 43mm), I can pull it off since I am not the biggest guy but if you have a large wrist definitely look elsewhere. Either way I really like it so far.

Great sports watch - and Solar powered to boot!

This watch makes for a great sports watch. The silicone band is soft and comfortable, and you just rinse it off. It is very easy to see the time at a glance with the white hands against the black face. When glancing, you don't really see the red second hand, but of course, can use it if you need to time something. The solar power is the best feature: never have to worry about batteries, or taking it apart to replace batteries. I don't know too much about the Nautica brand, but a quick search on their website suggests they don't typically do solar, since there are no solar watches on their website now. This must be a discontinued model, and I see the price fluctuating rapidly: at the $56 I paid, it is a steal.

Good watch if you get it when price is right

This is my first solar watch and I am glad I got it. Nautica watches are made by Timex so if you get them when the price is right, I got the solar watch for a $45. I think at that price you would just get a TImex quartz. The color of watch is great the nano strap is good. the bezel is nice but it is fix. I feel if you put this on a nice rugged style leather watch strap it would look better since it is not really rated for water you wouldn't really be wearing this at the pool or the beach. this is more of a field watch I would think.

Awesome watch

I purchased this watch in Dec 22. The look and feel of this watch is premium. I would give a big thumbs up to the quality of the finishing and the strap fit. The solar tech works as expected and the watch was delivered to me on time. I am giving four stars instead of five, as the watch didn't work out of the box. I had to leave it in the sunlight for a few hours for it to start working. Other than that, everything else was perfect :)

Solar Nautica Watch

Love this Solar Nautica watch, since i do not have to replace the batteries. I like the color combination and the feel and wrist band which is comfortable compared to my Seiko divers which is so hard. Its my first time to buy this watch and its worth it.

More accurate than expected.

I was pleasantly surprised by the accuracy of the movement. It has a very legible dial with large hands. My only gripe is that the case is a little too large at 43mm. Although when worn on a Nato strap it sits better on my 7.5 inch wrist.
