Perfect for home use at that price.

I had bought another brand that was larger at first, that one didn't heat to the set temp so I returned it. As often as I deep fry food I figured this was all I needed. I've used it 5x, temp is accurate with a quick recovery. Also the amount of oil is ideal as others take more than a bottle, this take just less than a gal. I'm happy with it. OH, lastly. I had one in the past that had the drain into a reservoir, that thing backed up after min use and leaked 1/2 gal of oil all over the floor. This one has no drain SO NO DANGER of an Exxon Valdez incident........

Deep fryer

Product worked great. Rapid heat up. Maintains temperature during entire fry time. Tried it on chicken legs, chicken hearts, fries ,spring rolls and fish and chips. Everything came out great. Easy to use and clean up was a snap.

Make Your Own Fried Chicken

I have used a few times and it is a great food fryer. I'm a little leary of using the "minimum amount" of oil, it seems really low. At any rate, I've done chicken breast that came out fantastic. I've done home cut sweet potatoes (did not boil first), thinner sliced, and came out great. The food thus far has been so good, better than paying for one at a chicken joint. So, the only issue I have is, the first time I fried chicken breasts, at 375 degrees- the chicken was cooking too fast. I turned thermostat down to 350, still too high, I turned it down to 325 degrees and that for me, was the magic number. Now, the possibilities for fast fried foods are endless! Oreos. Twinkies. Bread. Fruit. Veg. Motz cheese sticks. etc...

2nd time around loving it!

We accidentally left the plug outside in the rain. It rusted. The magnets no longer worked. I got this fryer because we had the same one that lasted for OVER 10 YEARS !

Fried The Food Perfectly

I've had a problem keeping the temp even when frying in a pan on the stove. I was surprised that this fryer was able to hold temp. I kept it at 375° F because many people side it will not get up to 350° F. It was temp checked all through out cooking and got up to 377°. It fried our egg rolls and crab rangoons nice and crispy. We also cooked shrimp chips and it was great to have the basket so that the oil dropped off and didn't keep cooking.

It does what is intended for

May not be worth a 5 star review, but it does what i bought it for. As long as the heating element works, is good for me. Am using it outdoors. Not suggesting to use it indoor!! The filter is useless, but then again, aren't them all? The thermostat is also useless. Instructions are for french fries 375F 10-12 min. Good luck with that!! Oil was way over 425F and after 4 min. fries where almost burned! But that is minor, as far as i am concerned. Try and learn. Set at 320F, light goes out, potatoes go in, 4 min. later have fries the way I want them. WAY better than at any fast food chain.

Great performance for size

At 1800 watts and 2.8 quart of oil this fryer has the best ratio of watts per quart, which translates into rapid temp recovery and no wait between batches. Perfect appliance for 2 people or small family.

I had few deep fryers before, T-fal, Cuisinart.. both broke down after a year or so. I use them 3-4 times a month and this one is by far the best! If you pay same price for T-fal...don't ...get this one instead...will save you $$ after a year.
