This is a Super "Mini", Key Word, hasp lock, and I honestly can't imagine what on earth would be so tiny that you would need a hasp too match it's tiny size to lock up, but I just think it is the darndest cutest little thing! The Picture size itself, IS blown like a Trillion times up, in comparison to the picture they show for this hasp, would be the ACTUAL size of the hasp of about 3 USA Quarters put side-by-side, Maybe, HAHAHA. I just can't Stop laughing, I thought I was on one of those TV Shows, that make people laugh, for practical jokes!! But to need a proper Bedroom type, sturdy, size hasp, you need like a 4 1/2", I had to buy 4 of the 4 1/2", but never seen sold by this company though on Amazon, so bought them through Amazon from "Master" locks company.

Easy to install

Easy to install. Could probably be made a little stronger but for the price it's what I expected. I put it on a shed cabinet that was previously left unlocked and never bothered so I wouldn't consider it a high risk for burglary. I don't think anyone is interested in my holiday decorations but I wouldn't store valuables with this gasp. For my intended use it's perfectly fine however.

Good Basic Hasp / Latch

This is a good basic hasp/latch. It does what it needs to do. If you want something with a little more pizazz (it swivels so you can latch it without a lock) you might want to look atNational Hardware V32 4-1/2" Swivel Staple Safety Hasp in Black in nice enamel and you can match it up with a blackMaster Lock 131Q Covered Aluminum .

Mounting holes are random

Mounting holes are random. If you are trying to replace one that has a proportional 3-hole bolt pattern then forget it, it will not match. I can not find a 2-1/2” hasp that has the same 3-hole bolt pattern as my existing one I am trying to replace.

Great safety hasp; I use with a carabiner clip

Comes with screws to install. Sturdy product. I use a carabiner clip through the loop to lock our chicken coop, and so far no raccoon or other has been able to figure it out. Has not tarnished or rusted at all yet (~2 months in). The joint does protrude a little bit too far. So if you have the lock installed on a completely flat surface, the hinge will scrape the surface a bit when opening and closing. This doesn't matter to us since it's on a chicken coop, but just FYI.

Small hasp for locks

I didn't look at the dimensions before ordering; this one is smaller than most of these types of hasps. Be aware of the dimensions before ordering. I wish I had ordered a larger one, but I used it anyway.

If your need is basic, go for it.

A decent hasp... good for basic household security (keeping the kids out of your stuff). The zinc may eventually wear, so it's probably best to limit the use of this hasp to indoor applications. Closed dimensions: 1" x 2.5" Each flat is approx. 1/16" thick.
