Recent changes to NADS formula?
I have been using NADS since the TV infomercial days when Sue Ismiel sold me on this product she created for her daughter, likely since 2000. Since then I have used it faithfully on my arms and bikini area on a monthly basis. While always mildly painful, it was an easy product to use - affordable compared to professional hair removal services, and effective at removing unwanted hair. But lately - within the last year or so - I find the formula is more sticky, more likely to cause those toe-curling moments (not the good kind) when the wax will not come off my skin with the strip. It causes all the pain and leaves the hair (and wax) on my body. I’ve even been fearful of it removing my skin! No amount of reapplying wax or strips will remove the hair, so I have to wash it off, wait and try again later when my skin isn’t as sensitive to the trauma. I don’t think this is user error - I would consider myself an expert user of this product - very experienced (20+ years), even at performing at-home Brazilian waxes on myself. Something has changed! If the manufacturer is reading this - please go back to the original formula! Anyone else notice this issue?

One kit not enough for both legs
This was my first experience with waxing my legs so maybe that plays a factor, however, one kit only was enough for one leg, it was super sticky and messy, and lots of hairs were left behind. I ended up shaving the other leg because I didn't want one hairy leg and one mostly waxed leg, and shaving the rest of the leg I did wax. I'm going to compare the two and see how it goes to decide if I want to buy again. Overall though, shaving is easier for me but if waxing lasts longer and thins out my leg hairs I might consider waxing instead.

COMPARING TO NADS BRAZILIAN HARD WAX
I've been using the red Brazilian wax on & off for years but it's been price gouged since the Rona so I got this hoping it would work. I only wax my down there area & underarms so the reviews are based on those areas only GEL WAX REVIEW pros: -doesnt have to be heat up. -a little bit goes a long way -cleans off very easily with warm water -comes with 6 large wood wax sticks -perfect for regular waxing of the same area with weeks in between -strips clean very easily with warm soap and water soaked in a bowl but they do fray a little cons: -very sticky and can be messy if not careful -not strong enough for very course hair. if you usually shave & grow it out to wax it may not work - all cloth strips it comes with isn't enough for a full brazilian. I had to wash/dry them and finish later & I am 5'1 110 lbs so just something to consider -strips are trickier to use in the nooks & crannies during a Brazilian than the hard wax BRAZILIAN HARD WAX REVIEW pros: -strong enough for a first time wax with the most course of hair -nice scent & never had irritation after years of using only this product. -hard wax makes it easier to get all the hair during brazilians cons: -comes with like 1-2 extra thin wood wax sticks that makes no sense on medium/large areas -harder to was off with water. you have to peel it off sometimes and it can be painful & cause redness sometimes -you have to really practice heating. it takes like 5 min if it's a full jar so dont listen to the box & you have to continually heat up & stir throughout the whole process to keep the right temp & consistency for it to work right I've only used the hard wax because i was never a fan of the strips but after using this gel wax after all this time I've realize it's great for regular waxes but if you've only ever shaved down there or have extra course hair I would use the hard wax the first time the switch to the gel wax for regular touch ups based on the pros & cons of each. hope that helps!

Hurts like a mo-fo!
Ok...I’m going to chalk this up to quarantine boredom experiment. I’ve never waxed my legs, but decided to try it. I’ve waxed my brows, lip, and face, but never appeared my legs. I’ve had things lasered as I’m obviously part cave-woman. I thought waxing wouldn’t hurt too bad. But oooh!!!! This sucker hurts! I was shocked after my first strip was peeled off that I still had skin left on my legs. The wax stuck really well and it pulled up most of the hair. The tough part was to self-inflicting the pain to myself over and over again. Waxing over the shins was most painful!! My son started crying because I was yelling out in pain. I had to huff and puff like the freaking big bad wolf in between wax strips because the pain was so bad. I think this could be used as some horrible form of torture. The cotton strips that came with it are resuseable but after rinsing them once I still had half of my legs to do. The damp cloths didn’t work nearly as good as when dry. I guess if you have big legs like me you need to get more strips that what comes in the box. The cotton also shredded on reuse/wash and when waxing with reused strips there were threads unraveling on each pull. The product smells ok, comes with a little lotion and some pre-wax cleansing wipes. Overall it did the job, but I’m thinking this will be my last at home leg wax because the pain was too much. After hearing me holler my husband got the bright idea to have me wax his back. I washed all of the strips and went to town. The wax pulled out most of his hair but skipped over some of the shorter ones. I’d say this definitely works better on longer hair. My Covid waxing experience was interesting. It hurt more than it was worth, but was ok after my legs went numb and got over the worst parts. Now there is no way in heck Id put this anywhere near the private parts! Goodness no! I think arms would be doable, not the fragile lil armpits though. A small area like lip or eyebrow would be good. Be warned you might want to take a shot of something strong before getting this wax on!

Good buy
Easy and fast way of removing hair. Use it on my legs and resulted in a smooth finish. Noticed that hair grows back slower and finer after several uses. Do a patch test if u have sensitive skin. Do use the cleansing wipes before waxing and the soothing balm after waxing.

This does a pretty good job of picking up my fine hair
This product works very well. I have tried the waxing strips in the past, but they seemed to leave the wax and the hair on my legs. This does a pretty good job of picking up my fine hair, and I didn't have any type of allergic/inflammation reaction to it. I'm only giving 4 stars since it would leave behind a few stray hairs that I would have to re-wax.
