Excellent product does exactly what it's suppose to
Attention, I purchased two of these so I'd have a back-up if ever needed. It worked on both LED and incandescent lights. I Really-really like that you can set how you want the light Dimmed. It retains that setting and you then can simply turn the lights On & Off. I did order the White-Small-Stand for my end-table from Home Depot. The stand has a soft foam on the bottom so No-Scratches !!! Terry Honaker

It’s awesome . Everything about it . Maybe if the thing that plugs in was a little smaller so furniture in front of the plug can go back more but sometimes this just isn’t possible . Love this thing .

Great customer support
I purchased this control switch to provide remote control for an unswitched outlet in the corner ceiling under my covered patio. Since the outlet is used to power patio holiday lights, the fact that it is dimmable is a plus. No ladder climbing to plug lights in! When I received the unit, I tested it once and set it aside. When I went to actually use it a month later when my patio project was complete, it worked once and then failed. Since it was outside of the return window for Amazon, I had to call the customer service for the vendor. After providing an easy email of proof of my order, they promptly shipped me a complete new unit within two days. This was easier than an Amazon return :-) Unlike some of the Holiday light remotes I tried (where you have to be within a range of 2-3ft. of the receiver for it to work), the working range is very good for both the off/on control and the dimmer. Note that the receiver unit takes up both plugs in an outlet. The remote switch has to be disassembled to install the CR2032 battery. These are the only negatives I encountered, hence the star reduction (I am not reviewing the motion detection version). The unit is not rated for outdoor use; even though the outlet I am using it on is a GFCI outlet up in the ceiling corner under my patio cover, I added a weatherproof outlet cover and applied waterproof tape to the cord connections. The outlet cover does not hinder reception, and my LED patio holiday lights function and dim perfectly without any lag. We use it every night- it's a big hit at a reasonable price.

Simplicity as a Virtue. No App, no WiFi, just RF.
There are lots of options for "smart switch" or "smart outlet" and most of them were not what I wanted or needed. This one met my functional requirements without any of the fluff. I was pleasantly surprised with the foolishly easy the setup/pairing process. Hold any button down within 5 secs of plugging in. Done. Add another outlet? Do exactly the same thing again! I did 5 all from one remote. The remote can be removed from the wall plate/cradle. Nice for setup, but for my use having it in it's "home" at all times is ideal. I have one mounted in a 2 gang switch plate next to a single gang box. So the remote is mounted to the wall and lined up so the plate fits over both. This makes it blend in better rather than having a second single next to the existing. I had found others that direct mount inside a standard wall box, but this will not as is. The outlet-relay unit is polarized so for me that means the stick up from the wall receptacle. Didnt cause issue for me but could imagine scenarios where that would be annoying.

Recently moved into an older home with only electrical outlets in the bedrooms and no ceiling light. Wanted to be able to turn on a lamp in the bedroom at the entrance with a wall switch. While there was an existing switch on the wall, I couldn't figure out the wiring for a switched receptacle and decided that a wireless switch would be the easier solution. Researched all wireless switches on Amazon and decided on this GE mySelectSmart Wireless Remote given it's price point and good looking design. I purchased two of them and can confirm both work separately in the same vicinity -- one switch does not turn on the other receiver. The wall mount/switch holder that it comes with for screwing into the wall is thicker than the depth of standard wallplates. However, it fits perfectly within the 1 gang wallplate that is included. I used a 2 gang wallplate (Cooper 2-gang screwless wallplate) with my installation given that there was an existing switch in the room that I wanted to combine it with. Being a bit thicker, the GE switch holder makes one side of the wallplate stick out a bit (a very minor gripe and not a big deal). This could potentially be fixed by shaving down the frame of the switch holder or not using the switch holder altogether and some double sided tape to hold the switch instead. If GE could redesign the switch holder to have a slimmer frame that would be ideal. Overall -- Look no further, this GE mySelectSmart switch is the one to get! And it was much easier and less costly than calling an electrician. Notes: - This only has 2 prongs (no ground), so it is ideal for lamps. - Turns on almost instantly for me - Receiver emits a faint glowing orange light when turned on. Not an issue for me as the location of the receiver is not out in the open

Great Purchase
My condo did not come with a ceiling light, so it was annoying to walk around some furniture to get to the lamp (I am not lazy, just inconvenient build on the condo side). This switch was super easy to install and has the convenience to match! Probably will buy another one for my bedroom.

It can cause LED to flicker.
I installed this product to use with an led light strip for under cabinet lighting. The problem that I am having is that it os making my led lights flicker once every few minutes. It doesn't matter if o set it to max dim or full on. It flickers. So it didn't work for my purpose.
