It does fit :))
When I first received I took one look and thought “this isn’t going to fit my mini!” But after adjusting the multiple buckles it fits very well and Houdini hasn’t been able to escape :)) Only complaint is that the buckles are easily broken since they are plastic. I wrapped them in black tape and it’s held up well.

Sizing isn't accurate
Well made but the sizing isn't very good for a mini. Not enough adjustment for smaller horses.

Sizing Confusion but They Work
I measured around the bridge of my horses' nose. Two were 16 1/2 inches and one was 17 inches. Then I searched for a size chart on the net and boy did I get a surprise. According to a chart on Chick's web page the muzzle for a mini is 22 inch circumference! This can't be right! Well, since my horses are small I decided to go with the pony size even thought the same chart said the muzzles would have a 24 inch circumference, which would be way too big, right? Well, when I got the pony size muzzles they were 18 inches circumference! What's the deal? Well, I think the size chart refers to the length of the strap that goes from one side of nose, around the ears to the other side of the nose or the headstall and not the circumference of the actual muzzle itself. Lucky for me the headstalls just fit and so did the muzzles. My horses adapted very well to them. I introduced them to their muzzles while grooming and then let them go in the yard for a couple of hours. They didn't even try to eat. They acted like they were tied up. Then I took them off for a while and put them on again at night while in the pasture. Neither came off during the two nights I used them. I also didn't see any rubbing or chafing marks. The quality of the materials is good. Actually, it's better then I expected. I bought two types: the Grazing Cribbing Muzzle and the Easy Breathe. The Cribbing one engulfs the horses hose more and may not come off as easily. The Easy Breathe seems to be a bit looser fit and a troublesome horse may get it off easier. However, they both worked well. I have one horse that snorts a lot so I use the Easy Breath on him. The picture shows a mettle ring that you can use to tie them with but neither of mine came with one. Its ok though. Its one less thing to snag on something. 26/04/15: - the headstall is adjusted with Velcro that can be pulled apart. My boys learned to do it by rubbing against one another. I put a stitch in and they haven't gotten them off since.

The mini horse size fits my miniature mares
I ordered 2 of these grazing muzzles for my miniature mares struggling with weight control. The halters are very durable and have four places for adjustment. Fitting them on my horses was easy. I observed them for about an hour while they adjusted to having them on. I like that they did not need to have a halter on while wearing the muzzles as there is a metal ring on the back of the muzzle part where a lead can be hooked up. It did take my mares a little bit to adjust and on slipped the muzzle off her nose, which let me know I didn't fit it correctly. I tightened it up and haven't had any problems. They have been wearing the muzzles now for three days and are very adapted to having them on. I was fearful of them getting a hoof stuck in the muzzle or something crazy happening, and that's all it was- crazy fear. The muzzle part hangs nicely around their nose and mouth, it is loose but not dangling in any way. They drink easily as the hole on the bottom of the muzzle allows water access. I like the way the Velcro attached on both sides of one of the straps, its very secure yet could break away with enough force. My mares have not challenged the muzzle at all. I think the durability, safety and multiple adjustment points are excellent, well designed.

Not sized for mini horses
While this thing seems well made and all the straps are easy to adjust, it is not Miniature Horse sized. Unlike the person who got one marked for Cobb ponies, mine is marked for minis, but it's way too big. Especially for a breed known for being able to slip even fitted halters and blankets, etc. On it's loosest settings, it could fit an average sized yearling. Even with every single strap tightened as much as it possibly can be, it's still loose on my mini stallion who is 31" with a not terrifically small head. He hasn't slipped it in the first hour of supervised wear, but if he itches it on a wall or fence post, it'll go over his ears easily.

Works great for a Great Dane who wouldn't leave a wound alone
I bought this muzzle in mini size not for a horse but for my 140-lb Great Dane in order to prevent him from licking a wound. He is unusually long-legged and as the wound site was on his hind foot, cones were not preventing him from getting at it. This worked much better. The mini size fit him perfectly when adjusted on all the smallest settings. The plastic muzzle was large enough to allow him to breathe and open his mouth to pant, but the openings were too small for his tongue to fit through. I also purchased a Tough-1 mini halter fleece tube set for the headstall portion to make it a little more comfortable for him. The headstall fastens with Velcro so I had no worries about leaving him with it on unsupervised. It's well made yet lightweight enough to not be too heavy on a small (Dane or mini!) head. Highly recommend for this purpose if you have a very large dog who needs to be kept away from wounds.

Waaaaaaay too big for any of our minis
This is a well constructed grazing muzzle but it is WAAAAY too big for all of our minis (we have 4). It is super heavy and I could seriously fit several of my mini's muzzles in the thing together. Wish it could have worked out. Needs to be smaller and lighter weight to be helpful here. Quality is good, giving it 3 stars b/c it is definitely not mini sized as advertised

Durable, good fit
Worked great on my pony, durable, stays on, worked really well to keep her from getting too fat on pasture.

Kind of heavy
The product itself looks very well made, I did order the correct size for my miniature horse and it does fit, it’s just that it is bulky and heavy. He hasn’t worn it for any length of time yet, it’s taking awhile for him to get use to it. He has a refined head and its heavy on him.

A little small.
A little small for a large horse otherwise it was as expected.

junkie hardware
the first day using the grazing muzzle on my gelding the snap hook broke. Tough-1 name is not quite properly suited for this product...... do not waste your money on this product. it does not stand up to it's name at all.
