One of my Walker's favorites
Doesn't hold up to excessive chewing, but its a stuffed animal ..show me one that will. I'll probably be buying one of these every few months for the foreseeable future.

Head detaches easily, but my dog loves it!
My dog absolutely loves these bird toys, but he can be rough on them. He loves tearing the fluff and squeaker out of them when he's bored, so he's gone through quite a few ducks, pheasants, and geese, both small and big. The pheasants hold up the longest as they have the shortest necks. The necks on the geese (where the black color connects to the grey) could use more durable stitching. That was the only part that broke on it though, and with a bit of stitching of my own, it was as good as new again. If your dog chews things aggressively, go for something with less stuffing, but if they are gentle on their toys, they will love it! (Even when there isn't a squeaker or fluff left in these, my dog still carries them around!) I will definitely be buying again!

My Dog runs around the house squeaking this goose. She loves it and hasn't damaged it too badly for the time she's had it. Good choice!

As I expected
My 58 pound 18 breed mix would give this five stars. It was love at first site, and he adores it. They must lace it with doggy crack. He removed the beak and began pulling fluff within the first 20 minutes. I'm fine with that because it was inexpensive and that's the appeal of plush toys for him. He LOVES the sound it makes. For that I would give it five BUT I'm giving it four because I'm aware of the plastic bag wrapped squeaker other reviewers mentioned. I'm only ok with that because he only plays with plushies under supervision anyway so he doesn't eat the fluff. Otherwise it is exactly what I expected when purchased and he's very happy with it!

My German Shephard loves it but I have sew the tummy area after each day as she attacks it so much opens a hole and then pull out the stuffing...........loves it and quacks like a duck....the toy not the dog.

Good Dog Toy for Short Lived Fun
Panda loves her Christmas goose! She is a pointer/pittie mix so the bird dog in her loves to make the goose honk. I don’t expect it to last too long since the pittie in her just loves to shred toys and she’s already ripped off a wing. But until she destroys it, she’s having a blast!

Our 100lb Black Lab cannot live without these. I'm buying 4 per year. 2 Mallards and 2 Geese. Love 'em!
Our Black Lab absolutely loves these. She is a rescue dog and this goose/duck is the only thing that she came with. Since adopting her, this is the only toy that she refuses to shred like a paper-shredder in a Senators office who's got the Special Prosecutor calling. Here's some insights: Pros: - The dog loves these and refuses to destroy them. Probably just the preference of the dog, and has nothing to do with the toy itself. - Pretty sturdy. We have to replace these about twice a year. Not bad since they get constant daily play with a black lab. - Quacker inside seems to be lasting longer than previous models. They used to only last a couple weeks. Now they get thrown out (see cons below) with the quacker still working. Don't know if this is different construction or just that the dog isn't as hard on them...Don't know, but an observation. - They don't tear up too bad with the use from our dog. Sometimes the seams will begin to rip. Haven't found anything crazy inside like another reviewer noted. Just poly-stuffing. These aren't going to withstand constant shredding. They're not meant to. They're the same type of material as a kids' stuffed-animal. Not meant for a beating. If your dog is a shredder, look for a fire-hose material toy. They last longer with shredders. - Price, price, price! Seriously, these things are cheap for what you get. We always feel that we've got a good deal at a good price. Cons: - These things get gross! After about 6 months of constant daily attention from a 100lb Black Lab, they're ready for the great landfill in the sky. The "fur" soaks up slobber, dirt, hair, whatever else is out there. The dog is fine with it, but after so long, I just can't take it any more and replace it. I imagine you could wash it, but for the price, it's far easier to replace it. Plus, the "puppy" is enamored with opening her presents to discover a new goose (we get her both the goose and mallard ones for variety). Overall, these things are awesome for the price point. They last reasonably long, and we aren't upset when we replace them. We feel like we have got our $'s worth. The Lab can't live without these, so we will be buying at least 4 of these per year! I hope I have helped your purchasing decision of this product. It does not make the honking sound as described!
The toy itself looks good and my dog still seems to like it but he absolutely loves toys that honk so I was excited to get this for him. You can feel the thing that should make the noise inside the bird but it doesn’t work. If it would honk I would have definitely given it more stars!

Cute toy but it needed mending quickly
Purchased for a 9 month cockapoo. She loves it, but managed to tear its head half off within a couple of weeks so I had to sew it back together. For the price, and for something being sold as a toy for dogs, I would have expected something a little more durable.

DANGEROUS....DO NOT BUY THIS
Highly dangerous. Do not buy. This plastic bag and plastic filling was in this dog toy. If i had not seen it my dog could have choked on this plastic bag and died.

Our dog likes to play with Ducky and he doesn't want his other toys. So when our original Ducky gave up the ghost (after about 6 or 7 years) we searched high and low to find another supplier so please keep making Ducky!

realistic and long lasting!
Still going strong with our 6 month old lurcher puppy, who uses 'goosey' as a training aid for fetch and retrieve. He still hasn't managed to kill it, all in tact despite his best toothy efforts. the noise is really great and realistic. I can't ever make the damn thing squeak, but pup manages every time and adores his buddy. the different textured furs and the crinkly sounds realy intrigued him when he was little too. Certainly would recommend.

Dead Goose
Bought as a Christmas present for my Lab, Ruby, who loves toys that make a noise, the louder the better. Unfortunately it is next to impossible to get any sound out of this goose. I can get a small honk if I hit it really hard in the right place, but Ruby has never managed it, so she has no interest in it.
