Finally!
For background, I broke delicate bones in both my hands in a near-fatal MVA. Since then, I have of coursed aged to the point at which I cause a small fire by the friction of the now-lengthy spinning to get to the year of my birth. (This is a little long, but I think it’s all necessary so you can really know the amount of destruction that’s been caused to my hands, since it’s so extreme.) It’s been eight years since then, and I’ve lived in a horror movie, due to an emergency, I had to spend several days and months writing and typing more than any human should, I also developed arthritis, and the pain that’s borne from those events have caused me to be unable to get a good grip on things (literally and figuratively), I’ll often drop things and not even notice. I do not take otc painkillers regularly, and I will not take opiates, but with everything I am forced to do daily, I can’t get the chance to rest my hands, not even for an hour much less a few f days or a week. And as it always does, another shoe dropped yesterday morning when I slipped in mud and landed directly on my thumb and forefinger of my left hand. The pain was indescribable. I had an old thumb splint, and put it in. There was no metal in it, and as a result, trying to get it to the sweet spot where my thumb couldn’t move (any movement was painful), and I still had circulation in my hand. In fact, I had only two options: a) live with the pain and keep blood circulating to my hand; or, b) tighten it to stabilize my thumb/hand and then wait for the gangrene. In either case, extreme pain was involved. It’s impossible to to make it fit properly and be comfortable, you can’t do it. Either it’s too loose and your hand is moving all the time, or you lose circulation, but your thumb is relatively stable. (This is a few years old, so maybe the kind I now bought are a new design). I thought it was a long shot; since I’m a regular visitor to this site, but I did find these, and they offered overnight shipping, so I decided I’d give this one last try. Since these arrived, I am telling you, without a doubt, that I have not had pain in my thumb at all. I can’t remember when I had no pain last. The metal made me nervous, and the part in which you put your thumb, you need to ensure goes around your thumb, but I am absolutely convinced. The metal allows there to be a strong stabilizer, that will restrict movement of the thumb AND still feel comfortable. I highly recommend these. I wish I’d had them long ago. A+++++!!!

Too restrictive to be useful for me
I purchased this version of a thumb stabilizer because of all the positive reviews. It is helpful for arthritis pain. However, you literally can't do anything that requires use of your thumb while wearing it. I got tired of putting it on and taking it off constantly. Also, there are so many velcro straps, they pick up everything and we have a white dog so you can imagine what my black glove looks like. After speaking with my hand specialist MD, I purchased one he recommended. It was much more costly - but it provides stability at the base of your thumb without actually wrapping your thumb and it only has two small velcro strips on the back of your hand. I can wear it day and night without interference. The Mueller brace was cheap - but ultimately a waste of money for me.

Perfect for deQuervains tendonitis or text thumb
This is the one you want. It’s perfect for preventing further injury to an ailing thumb on either hand. I have deQuervain’s tendinitis so I need to wear it 24/7. So, when I accidentally got it wet, I put it into the dryer on a no heat setting and it dried perfectly. I love that I can customize the fit with all of the three Velcro straps. That allows me to adjust during the day for various activities, which matters when you must wear it round-the-clock. I’m so glad this is the one I bought.

Great Great Great brace. Just what I needed
I love this bracelet. I work at a warehouse stacking boxes all day, I am a musician, like to draw a lot, I broke my wrist when I was young. All this leads to some discomfort and soreness. This brace takes the pain away. It is reversible so can be used on either wrist.

Love this brace!
My orthopedist supplied a popular but clumsy neoprene brace for me. With some tinkering I could make it work until I saw this one! For the price I figured it was worth a try and I wasn’t disappointed! Arthritis and bone spurs in my right thumb and find so lone I wear it EVERY night, I have far less pain during the day! As it restricts thumb movement most days it isn’t practical for me but at night…it certainly does the job! And it’s actually comfortable!win win in my book!

Amazing fit and has adjustment straps
I jammed my thumb it was sore for 2 months . I was in so much pain and need something to hold it into place so I could move around during the day. This came in the mail just in time. Not only did it hold my thumb in place, it kept good pressure around my thumb too and that helped the pain and swelling go down.

Healing my mommy thumb
After multiple kids I now have mommy thumb and I tried a cheap wrap from the drug store and glad that I finally got this one. I wore it consistently (or as consistently as I could) over the course of 2 weeks and the ache is gone. My mom ended up getting one too and she is another happy customer.

Really helps
I want sure how much this would help but it does. I don't need it everyday but when I do it works great. I use my thumb to turn pages while reading my books on my phone. Well I noticed I have arthritis now in the thumb. Once it starts hurting I use this and it helps a lot. I recommend this product or something like it. Like I said it's not the cure but when needed it does the job.

The best wrist and thumb stabilizer ever.
This has been a life saver for me. Have weak wrists and need to give rest often. This works brilliantly. Have tried multiple products earlier, this is the best

Relief at last!
After wasting money on a few cheaper ones, I decided to go for this to support my trigger thumb. So glad I did, this offers fantastic support without feeling bulky. The pain in my thumb has reduced substantially and it is so comfortable I can wear it a day and when I go to bed. It is very easy to adjust and fits perfectly, wish I'd just bought this sooner.

Damaged thumb support
I choose this item because it was specifically for the thumb - almost impossible to find in the high-street. I had wrenched my thumb back on itself and it was agony for weeks. Finally searched and shelled out on the price of this and was not disappointed. I particularly liked the fact the fingers were all free to use and the support covered the soft pad at the base of the thumb which was very bruised. I also liked the fact that it can be used for either thumb. The metal strips within the thumb section keep the thumb immobile and was best positioned to suit my thumb line before tightening the three Velcro straps. The black colour is great - doesn't show any grubby marks and is easy to slip on or off. Once better, I took the brace off to flex the thumb gently back into use, but still put it back on when doing something that potentially could aggravate the injury - like a pulling dog (!) or gardening/driving. Overall a product that worked well for me, and I wished I had bought it earlier. It was worth the money and safely stored for if I feel any twinges/damage in the future.
