Pretty good step 2 bit.

Yes it's Sweet Iron, but it's a thin coating and not the composition. It works however.

Great bit for the money!

I bought this bit as a transition bit from a standard snaffle to something with a little more control and the ability to start teaching neck reining. It's great! It gives me the little "extra" control I was lacking with the regular snaffle without being too severe and my horse is working very well with it including neck reinging. It's well made and I love the sweet iron mouth piece.

Argentine style horse bit.

My my horse loves this bit. It's a good transitional bit to a finished bit. After working with him for an adequate amount of time, he really took to it.

Works great for my horse.

My Tennessee Walking horse needed a slightly longer cheek with his bit. The extra1/2 inch did the trick. He took to it right away. Is much more responsive and relaxed with it.

good quality bit for the money, It doesn't pinch or have a tendency to be a "nut cracker" like tom thumbs.

Not what I expected

Weaver must market more than one bit with this design because this one isn't the same as the one we bought for my wife's horse. It is too narrow for my horse's mouth and is pretty crudely made.
