Hard to decipher operating characteristic, what's included
I was interested specifically in a Moen shower/tub faucet to replace my old Delta, which gave me separate temperature and on/off control. (can't find where they sell that one anymore). I learned a lot through the ordering process: you need to separately buy a valve, a trim kit, and some say a chrome stop tube. I ordered a Positemp valve and trim kit, under the impression that I was getting a valve that not only had a temperature control, but a separate on/off function by pulling on or pushing off the water supply. (all by one control knob). To me, this is a crucial feature to be able to set your temperature then turn on and off the water, without having to - each time you turn on/off - find the temperature, or cycle from the cold cycle to the warmer setting. And be able to set the water flow rate. I THOUGHT that was what I was getting w/ the Positemp, so read the product description carefully! Come to find out that for that feature you have to go to a whole nother Moen line called Moentrol. And, the Moentrol requires a different trim kit so that the holes in the trim plate match correctly. And you don't need the separate stop tube. So I ended up returning my Amazon purchase and buying from a local plumbing supply house since I needed it immediately to get my shower back in service . (at a comparable cost btw - but I'm flabbergasted by the money "they" get for the trim kit - $ 85 - which is probably got $10 worth of materials in it). Meanwhile, the Moentrol valve is an exceptional faucet, giving me all that I wanted in terms of, well, control! Eventually, I found it also available on Amazon, but it was a hard search- hint, search with the keywords volume control.

Replacement parts
I bought this to use for replacement parts for an old shower control, and it was very easy to install. If works like a breeze.

Shower spigot is very small. Do not have a picture of it - gave it away.
Rest of product fit like a glove and was the correct size

Easy to install
Everything went great, except for the Tub Spout which was not what I needed. Not sure if they really say in the description and I just didn't get it. But this one is a back end thread and I needed a front end thread. Kept the kit and used everything but had to order the correct tub spout. Other than that this was a very easy install.

Exactly what you need minus the tube stop
Ordered this to replace 40 year old units in our bath. Fortunately, one earlier reviewer mentioned that the stop tube was not included. Therefore, I knew to order that separately at the same time. Everything fit as it should and worked well. Only 4 stars because I believe that this package should have included the stop tube as well. Side note: If you are also replacing the valve (not part of this package but available at any home repair store), save some time and buy the valve removal tool as well. Even if you only use it once, it's money well spent.

Missing a piece
The trim was as described but it was missing the valve stop piece so I had to purchase this separately from another store. A little frustrating when at a job and need to leave to go and pickup a piece you have already bought.
