Not made out of metal

Product description is misleading. It is not made out of metal. The only thing that is metal is the hose and the Moen web site confirms this. But, the rest is plastic with a brushed nickel finish. We bought this item because the color matched our newly installed Moen bath/show faucet. Installation was easy. Works fine.

What a disappointment

The media could not be loaded. So, my dad is a plumber, and I got a Moen product because he said their usually pretty good, I replaced the shower head myself I’ve seen him do it a million times. He even walked me through putting on Teflon tape and yadda yadda. First off, I bought it because it looked like it was going to be all metal. I mean it’s $86 you would assume all the parts were metal. They’re not, which whatever, I’m sure I could of looked that up first, but ALL but the hose is plastic, and just by using a wrench to tighten the head, I’ve already completely ruined the finish on the connection. It’s all scratched and peeling. So, red flag number 1. Red flag number 2? I can’t even get it to tighten enough to stop leaking, I assume I’m doing something wrong, except then I have my plumber dad walk me through it just to make sure I’m not an idiot. He says I’m doing everything right and with the Teflon tape I shouldn’t see any leakage. The problem is, it’s leaking from literally every joint possible. It’s leaking from the actual fixed head connection, it’s leaking from the hose attachment, both ends, and it’s leaking from where the head swivels. Lol, like I can’t make this up. I’m so disappointed, what a fail. Red flag number 3, it’s SO HARD TO CHANGE SETTINGS. You need both hands and ALL your strength to even get it to change, like what?? Why is it so freaking stiff? I’ve already replaced the shower head via amazon to see if the new one also leaks. But to be perfectly honest, even if it doesn’t I’m already turned off by how cheaply made the product is. If the second one leaks I’ll be returning all together for a completely different option, but I’m beyond annoyed. Don’t waste your time, it’s not even a good shower head for all this trouble. I guess $85 doesn’t get you very much as far as shower heads go and I’ll have to spend more $ for something decent. Video attached, please ignore my horrible old apartment walls. We rent in the city and it’s currently being repaired. Hope this helps someone!’

Leaky product

Ordered the spray head, know it was going to be cheaply made, like everything seems to be now. Connected everything as it should be, turned on the water and water came squirting out of the base unit. Ordered a replacement and the replacement leaked worse than the first one. Most of this shower head is very cheap plastic. The only part that is somewhat metal is part of the base unit. The hose and separate shower head are plastic and you cannot get them to tighten properly without warping the plastic. This is the junk we get from this china made world...

disapointed in Moen

Picked this up ant my friendly Benards after much hesitation. This is a brushed nickle finish with a stainless steel hose. It does not match. You can see the difference in their advertising photos and (to Moen's credit) thru the packaging. but the price was right so I bought a better hose that was brushed nickel and use the Moen ss one (with brushed nickel finished plastic end fitting,s btw) in a utility shower where one one cares that it doesn't match. The rubber gasket on the inlet screen was so soft it squeezed inside the supply pipe when I installed the shower head and leaked, had to replace that too. The spray selector ring with lever is very stiff to turn, requires two hands to hold the head while moving the selector And lastly, the pulse spray mode is too rapid and weak to be of any value.

What great water pressure!

This shower head combo is great! I previously had a large shower head that had mediocre water pressure. With the change to the smaller heads that problem has disappeared. It is well made, was a snap to install. The dials/settings are a little stiff to change, but I am not complaining. Transformed my shower.
