It's good enough, but I wanted it to be so much more.
All of the meter functions work as expected with reasonable accuracy. There's no switch to turn the unit completely off--when the dial is in the "off" position, the non-contact voltage tester still operates, so as you bump the unit or pass it near voltage sources, it lights up. I don't know what effect this has on battery drain, but as a general rule, I don't like battery-powered devices you can't turn completely off because eventually they will sit in a drawer a little too long between uses and you'll come back to a dead device and leaking batteries. Probes have a nice feel but are integral to the unit, so changing a damaged probe is a project unto itself. It uses AAA batteries rather than AA or 9V, which for my use is inconvenient (I wanted to make this part of my "go kit" in which all batteries are currently AA). All in all, I like it, but I really want to like it more and it just isn't going to get me there. At over $40, it doesn't distinguish itself enough from the $5 job at the home center/cheap tool store to make me feel like I did well on the choice.

Does it's job
Meter works as advertised and is good for hobby and home use. I compared the readings to a Fluke 83 and there was only a 0.01 difference in the voltage readings. The display can be a bit frustrating when your not viewing it from the correct angle as all the numbers on the screen appear to be on. The leads are shorter than I'm used to and replacing them when they are damaged may be an issue. The non contact voltage detector works good but there is no switch to turn it on or off. Place the meter close to an ac source and the top will light red. The lack of a switch for this is slightly annoying. If you are looking for a meter to keep in your car or toolbox at home then this is a good choice.

small duty meter works well but leads tend to wear ...
small duty meter works well but leads tend to wear on bottom of meter if carried in a pouch. use this meter at work, daily in pouch carry, it is small and convient. must change between DC and AC reading manually and starts up in DC mode but this is something that i can live with.

Nice, but a little large for the pocket.
Needed 3 for Christmas and ended up with four so I kept one for myself. Very nice auto ranging VOM. A little big for the pocket and has no stand and the leads are permanently attached, but I like it. I am an electrical engineer and use it daily.

noncontact voltage detection is good enough for my needs
litte bulky to qualify for pocket size. flashlight it would be a greater feature if it wuold stay on once the switch is press. no storage for test leads length (only test tips). no autorange. noncontact voltage detection is good enough for my needs. it is an acceptable unit.

It was good, but expansive for the price

Industrial-strength compact meter
This instrument is rated CAT IV 600V and CAT III 1000V, unlike many other pocket meters, and is thus safe to use on power installations. A must-have for the electrical engineer.

Nice compact little meter.

Pequeño y versátil. Ocupa poco espacio
Gran multímetro. Pequeño y compacto. Con led linterna y luz roja comprobadora de polos. Es el mismo que te vende la WURTH, muy recomendable si está por el precio debajo de dicha tienda.

Great pocket meter
It has all the features of a full size meter. The flashlight and non-contact voltage detector are handy. The only drawback is that you can't remove the leads. I recommend this meter if portability is a issue.
