Does a Good Job Replacing My Broken Plate

Overall this fits the bill. I bought my original Mikasa Italian Countryside set 20 years ago. They have served me well and are surprisingly durable. Which much to my surprise I succeeded in breaking a plate for the first time! The replacement is a perfect color match no issue there. And the patterns are the same. The reason for taking off a star is because the molds/stamps/etc that they use to create the pattern are not as "sharp" as the original. The patterns are identical. But the edges and the details are "softer". You would only really notice if you had 2 plates side by side and if you have high OCD. Overall I'm very pleased to be able to replace the plate without having to dig through other websites that sell used products, which tends to be very expensive. I'm also really glad that Mikasa still makes their various styles and has kept them as open stock. That was one of my reasons for buying them in the first place and is paying off.

The real thing

Thought I would not find these after my ex-wife ran off with all but one. So I had to take turns feeding the dog, cat, and myself off of the only plate she left me. So, fortunately, I found these matching the one plate I had. Now me the cat and the dog each have matching plates plus one for guests. Only one problem, whenever I fill the guest plate, thinking they are going to get fed, the dog and cat glare at the unfortunate guest with menacing eyes.

Best Dinner / salad plates

I had to add a few more salad plates because we use them more than the dinner plates. The Mikasa lasts forever no chipping.. I use the Italian Countryside. Great everyday dishes

Simply Beautiful!

I love this pattern. It is so simple, but elegant. It is great for every day use, but elegant enough for entertaining. I love the creamy, off-white color--it can be dressed up with any color charger and napkins. I've had my set of 12 for about 10 years. It is wonderful that I can replace broken pieces on Amazon when needed.
