A heavy footed vase, not a bowl
This Mikasa vase is heavy. I am serious, this is one solid, sturdy piece. I live in earthquake country and I would be terrified of this falling off of a high shelf. I appreciate the heft, however, because it means I can create more complex flower arrangements without worrying that a top-heavy bouquet will tip the whole thing over. It has a ridged design that can complement a variety of styles in home decor; the versatility is also applicable to what plants and flowers you wish to display. Or potpourri balls or whatever you want to show off in your vase - you do you, friend. As other reviewers have noted, pay close attention to the listing and order based on the photo, not the written description. The name of the vase is “footed bowl” and this can be confusing because there is a bowl available as well. (In fact, the bowl is what I was aiming for so I’m a little disappointed that the vase arrived instead.) Just look at the photos and confirm that what you see is what you want, and you’ll be fine.

Solid Vase
Before ordering, I was confused because the pictures didn't match the description. And I ordered based off the photo and not description thanks to other reviewers. This is not a bowl, but a tall round vase (I wanted the vase). It came packaged nicely and in one piece. It's very heavy. Would be great for a large bouquet of flowers.

Heavy vase
This is a nice heavy vase by Mikasa. I have lots of vases collected over the years, but I only have one other heavy one. This vase is not as tall as mine - I'd consider this medium height. I like to have fresh cut flowers and it's nice to use a sturdy vase like this. Plus, it'll be a little harder for my cats to tip it over!

Heavy and GORGEOUS!!!
The media could not be loaded. This vase is heavy but incredibly gorgeous!! I love the cut. When the sunlight hits it it just gleams and sparkles! It's high quality is clearly evident once you're holding it and looking at it. The crystal glass is flawless. There are so many different things you can put in this to enhance its beauty or just put fresh flowers and water in it. Either way it will look great. It's weight makes it much less likely to get knocked over or to break. The only downside which isn't a problem with the product but just a natural feature of the glass is that it is a fingerprint magnet. Every fingerprint or smudge will show up on it. Prior to taking the pics and video it was covered in smudges and fingerprints from me handling it but I simply took a dry microfiber cloth and wiped it down and it quickly restored its sparkling beauty. It's not a defect but just something you should be aware of. Another thing I will make note of is that when I ordered it you had a choice between the vase, the bowl, or the platter but when you clicked on the one that showed the vase in the photos the listing stated it was the bowl. I think the bowl stated it was the platter and the platter stated it was the vase. So I was a little worried that I would receive the wrong item. I wanted the vase but had to click on the one that said bowl for it to show the vase. So just to clear the confusion you should get the item shown in the photos and not what is stated in the listing. Hopefully this discrepancy is fixed soon. It would make a fantastic gift. In fact, I'm going to get another one to put flowers in as a gift for my mother in law for mother's day. It's very reasonably price for the quality and it's beauty. I think you'll be impressed and I highly recommend!

Beautiful vase, very heavy, wide base and appealing design, good price and value
What a beautiful vase. It was packaged very well and even with the accurate dimensions and weight listed in the description, I was still surprised at just how large, heavy and substantial it is in person. It’s a good size to display on a large dining table or elsewhere. The weight is just under 5 lbs. 10 oz., though if I hadn't weighed it myself I'd have thought it was heavier than that. The weight coupled with the wide base give me confidence that it’s not likely to be knocked over accidentally. As other reviewers have mentioned, there are some important errors in the listing. The images and descriptions are correct, but the item titles and the boxes you click to select a ‘Style’ are all incorrect. Make sure to choose based on the images. The crystal glass is very thick and I don’t see any imperfections. The ridged pattern is very appealing to me, it has a timeless quality and doesn’t seem dated or too dainty. It looks current but not modern. I’m looking forward to displaying flowers from the garden in this pretty vase this spring and summer. I don’t know much about the value of items like this but the price seems very reasonable. It’d make a very nice gift too.

Heavyweight Classic Mikasa
A beautiful Mikasa candy bowl. The glass is nearly perfect with no visible flaws or bubbles. A deep glass clarity and wonderfully cut scallops give the bowl a great detail that will look good anywhere!

Bowl so beautiful, it's hard to use
I love Mikasa. The style is always on point and the quality is always fantastic - this bowl is no exception. I ordered this because I needed a nice serving bowl. My issue is this bowl is so lovely that I'd hate to use it in that way. It seems it should be more decorative/art than something you put mashed potatoes in! With that said, it would function well for any use. The bowl is heavy crystal, though, so likely not something you would use for every day use if you choose to use it as a serving bowl.

Really great bowl
This is an excellent bowl. Make sure you order by the picture and not the name. Makes for a great centerpiece. Came shipped with protection so there’s no worries there. Great thickness and fingerprints don’t seem to show
