Chase away the "closed playground" boredom
As the COVID-19 "no playdates" and "no playgrounds" drags on, we hear the plaintive "I'm bored" more frequently from my granddaughter. Finally, after doing some careful checking, her best friend was allowed to come, but there were a lot of rules. So, after hearing "we're bored" a few times, I got this play mat out. It was going to be a Christmas gift but I decided the best time was now! It was not long before I was hearing shrieks of laughter as they took turns throwing their pucks and trying to rack up their scores. An hour later, the competition was still on. The only disappointment was when they decided to turn it over and try hop scotch. Even though neither of them are very large for their age, the squares were just way too small. I couldn't really imagine it would work very well for anyone older than 6. Otherwise, although my memory of the many games of hopscotch from my childhood was that you were "out" if your foot went over a line, you'd have to allow some line crossing to use it for older children. They did notice right away that it was also a good yoga mat. All in all, a great asset for rainy days or any other time when you have shut-in kids. The mat itself appears sturdy and the markings are clear. The pucks are well made, a sort of burlap type fabric and I believe they are sand-filled, with two distinct colors so two can play against each other. The closest match would be an old-fashioned "bean bag." This is definitely made for safe indoor play, but I'm not sure that you couldn't damage something by throwing a puck at it. That's not something I want to test out! I don't think there is much that can be done about the small hopscotch squares, other than allowing limited line crossing for larger feet. Although the mat fit various areas in our house comfortably, allowing some space for throwing the pucks, you wouldn't want it to be much larger. Therefore, I took off one star for the fact that the hop scotch side has limited use or a new set of hop scotch rules. Maybe it would also help to enclose a "game suggestion" sheet, with ideas for new games utilizing both sides of the mat.

I had originally planned on giving this as a Christmas present, but when temperatures rose to 110*, days in a row this fall with nowhere to go, I broke it out. I thought hop scotch would burn off some energy and the other games would be a nice change. My biggest problem was immediately obvious when the hop scotch squares were too small for even my 5 year old to skip in (barefooted). The pattern was also different than I remembered. It took much less energy to hop through. That all said, this could have been a giant failure but in all honesty, not at all. The kit also included toss games that included some good weight pucks and what kid can resist the OK to throw things in the house? My kiddos came up with all sorts of toss games, have you ever played tic tac toe from 4’ away? I hadn’t either! Even the littlest improved their aim over time! I didn’t notice any off smells from the mat or the pucks. It’s super easy to clean off at the end of play. This game mat has been a lot of fun for my kiddos and will continue as long as we are house bound. It was a good buy. I do wish they could have played hop scotch more but I’m not sure it would’ve gotten any more use than it turned out.

So much fun inside!
This Play and Exercise Kit is a double sided eco-friendly Resin exercise mat. Each side features 1-2 games - Tic-Tac-Toe, Hop Scotch and Skee-Ball. Waterproof and easy to wipe clean My kids lay on this and play on this! My kids use this for playing and adding up how many of each item they have on the hop scotch side The pucks - there are 5 of each color - purple and orange - they are pretty heavy - more than you would think! Price - fair for the quality of the product! No smell from the mat or pucks - I was expecting them to have to gas off. Easy to roll up and keep in a basket In the end this keeps my kids busy with physical activity, math or free play! The stitching on the pucks is done professionally and unless you cut them I just don't see them breaking open.

Great Way to Keep Kids Active
I knew keeping the kids home during all of this COVID stuff was going to be a challenge but didn't realize HOW much of a challenge it would be. I homeschool my kids and never before realized how much I depend on community groups and activities to keep them healthy and active. The pool has been great for this but even they are getting sick of swimming every day. This product is great. Don't expect it to give your kids an intensive aerobic workout or anything, but it is really good as an indoor activity that keeps them active and moving. Definitely recommend if you're looking for ways to encourage your children to be physically active at home.

Nice quality...
High quality materials used. Mat is a good thickness, accessories are well made as well. When you first open the mat you will probably need to use 2 of the provided bean bags, one on each end to hold down the mat from curling back as it adjusts to being rolled back out of the packed position. Laying it out in the sun for a little while can help as well, just do not place it directly on concrete as it may be too hot for the product. No complaints so far.

We had fun with this
During the COVID lockdown, we used this a few times indoors. It was fun to play with and a great way to keep moving during a time we had to stay home a lot. It's easy to lose the small bean bags that you can use with it, and I wish this had come with some sort of holder for them that attaches to the mat. Even without them, though, you can still play hopscotch and other games on the mat. When the kids get bored with it, it can also be used as a yoga mat.

Inside fun for rainy days
My kids are thoroughly enjoying this activity mat. It is thin, and could be used for sit up and exercise. My sons (7 and 10) loved the tic tac toe side, and the target. They spent hours using the included bean bags and egging each other on. The hop scotch side was fun for them too. This is a great way to take a break from the electronics on a day when you can’t go outside. Definitely recommend.
