The media could not be loaded. I don’t know if they market this for 3and up but we love these puzzles. It’s a bit small for under 3 and the letters aren’t the shape of the wood as you can see in the video but we love the Melissa and Doug peg puzzles. I’ve seen a lot of the same complaints so hopefully they update the puzzles, i understand why not because then the puzzle would be 2x the size but we still love this one.

Cute but

This is really cute, but the letters fall out so easily. They aren’t snug. An older kid may be able to use it fine but my 2 year old struggles and he has used a different brand of this puzzle before.

Good toy

I’m a fan of most Melissa and Doug toys. This one is no exception. Exactly what I expected. Solid quality and educational. My 2 yr old grand baby enjoys it.

Great but I suggest the version without pegs if your budget allows for that.

This is a great puzzle - and the price is pretty much unbeatable. But honestly, I wish I had gone for the pricier one that don't have pegs in the pieces. First - the pegs might it pretty difficult for the younger toddlers to use - they have trouble getting the pieces back in since they swivel a bit as their trying to put them down. Yes this does mean they're working on their motor skills while playing with this - but I bought this to help my son learn the alphabet, he has loads of other toys that help him with motor skills. Right now he gets very frustrated with it since he can't put the pieces in all by himself (which of course is a necessity for some toddlers). The other thing - these pieces are very small - which makes sense (it's a lot of pieces to fit into a board!) - but that means that you will probably end up with pieces on the floor...and if you don't notice them while walking around barefoot you definitely will when you step on that peg (not very fun!). The quality isn't fantastic - but it's obviously designed to be an economical option that just about anyone can afford - so for this price it's definitely not lacking in that department. But I have had a chance to play with the alphabet art version of this at my sons doctors office - the quality is noticeably better (and the pieces have no pegs) - but of course it's also twice the price. Still debating whether or not I'll buy a new one or just make do with this one...we'll see.

+ The Kid loves it ; Parts don't "sit" well in their their niches and fall easily out

+ Great design and the Kid loved it - Unlike other M&D puzzles we have, in this one parts are smaller than their niches so they don't "sit" well when put back in place - they fall easily out and are spreading in the room while moving the toy or playing with it.

Just as described in the picture

It's just as described in the picture. Bought this for my 19 month old and she already knows where all the letters go in order and she loves to put them in order. This is a great way for her to also learn her colors, she just started saying blue and this is thanks to this! Definitely recommend and I give it a 10/10

Awesome and good learning for kids

This is a wonderful toy for kids. I bought this for my son when he was around 2.8.Initially I thought he might not play with it much. But this one is awesome and it is the one with which he spends his maximum time ????He almost started fixing the letters singing az song and even start chanting a to z everytime very sooner.

Good one... Can be better

Quality is good... Got what they shown in the pic.... But what I felt is it's too shiny and white colour dominates both the letters, background and the inner area which make little clumsy feel.... Letters didn't have the exact shape... My suggestion is to buy distinct letter shape so that the little ones even without their knowledge will easily get the shape of the alphabets... But if you are ok with what they shown in pic u can go for it.... Quality is very good

Perfect in quality and right picture size

I bought it under lightning deal for 355rs and it's completely worth it... The pegs and the whole wooden board is quality wood as the name of the brand...pictures under the puzzle helps children to explore and see what is beneath the pegs and my son finds it intriguing and learn words with letters...the product is exactly the same as shown in picture...have to check on sturdiness of the board as days goes by...overall a quality toy which is worth every penny...nice packaging and as usual before time delivery by Amazon.

Very good product slight changes wil make it the best

Firstly I would like to Thank Melissa and Doug team for bringing up such an innovative way for lil ones to recognise and remember the letters and corresponding words.. I’m quite happy with this puzzle which keeps my baby busy.. but few words “I- Insect, J- jump rope, Q-Quail, V-vine, X-X-ray, Y-Yarn, O-octopus” seems quite difficult for infants to speak and relate the letters to pictures.. Request you to keep more pics of animals and other things which kids like, can easily remember and speak.

Our 2 year old loved this so much we bought a new one!

Our daughter is now 3.5 and knows her alphabet very well, and I know a big reason is because we did this puzzle with her alot when she was in her 2s! Sadly the pieces got wet and damaged and then we lost some, so when I bought this for a bday present for my daughters friend we also replaced our old one...daughter was thrilled! Great buy.
