Very helpful for the hands-on toddlers!

I love it & my daughter does as well! I wish it went to twenty to help us master counting 11-20 since we’ve already mastered counting to 10. Still helpful! Can’t wait until she is able to utilize the adding & subtracting features!

Useful

I bought this abacus for my grandson’s third birthday. He was excited when he opened it still enjoys playing with it after almost a year. He likes counting, so this serves as an encouragement and keeps him occupied with learning.

Perfect size for little hands/paws

Great, sturdy toy. I have no concerns about beds coming off and posing choking hazards, and they move easily. The colors are vibrant, though my raccoons prefer the shades of green and blue since those are the colors they see best. Would recommend this for furry and non-furry little ones.

Great for teaching counting!

This product is almost perfect. I got this to replace an older one I have that was held by the bars and the bars are falling off, different brands. This was the only product I could find like this! I never use the inserts, they are a waste, but I didn't want the product for that anyway. The only thing I would change is that the wood isn't finished, so you can't wipe it down without damaging it, even with a damp cloth, so I'm considering finishing the wood myself. I also wrote numbers on the side with permanent marker. But otherwise it's one of the best abacus designs I have encountered. I do childcare for ages 6mo-4yrs.

Long lasting fun

I purchased this almost a year ago now for my child and it has been played with almost every single day. (the photo is from today, you can see some toddler wear and tear on it, but not much!) My child loves this toy. I'd recommend it to anyone. It's good for fine motor skills, colors, and math if old enough. My child is almost 2 and just loves to play with the beads.

Perfect for my 2 yr old who loves counting!

I got this for my 2 year old, knowing it was more advanced and something he’d grow into. He loves his giant bead maze, so I figured this would be a great way to introduce counting. I looked at the toys that have removable beads for counting, but I just KNOW he’ll lose those!! The regular straight abacuses look more simple, but I figured this would help with adding and subtracting someday! He loves counting the beads as he pushes them around the arch. Also great for teaching colors and working on numbers/colors vocabulary. As with all other Melissa & Doug toys, this is built really well and is a nice compact size. Very space saving compared to other abacuses. Highly recommend this for all ages! Hope this helps. ????

-1 on giftable due to glitch

Not sure how others have received theirs, but ours came missing a red bead. Thought about returning it, but kiddo had already removed the packaging. Saw one at a store once and it had the same glitch. We McGuyver'd it, but would have been simpler for it to have come intact. Great buy, but probably wouldn't gift it due to risk of it not being received at 100%.

Cute, will grow with your kiddo!

I thought this would be more interesting to play with because it’s in a rainbow shape, instead of the standard abacus where you move the beads side to side. We’ve practiced counting & colors. Our 2.5 yr old enjoys playing with it as it is, moving the beads up & over, over & over :) and also likes to drive his hot wheels through it. This abacus will grow with your toddler because you can switch the boards on the inside to match your child’s ability. It’s also it’s eye catching. We’re happy with it!

Interesting, easy to learn counting

The color is bright and attractive for kids. It’s good for pre-school learning. My daughter can count now by playing this abacus. In the future, I will teach my daughter do the math by using this definitely.

Cracked and won’t let me return

I bought this as a Christmas present and it came cracked it looks like where the pieces are in the wood it caused the wood to split. Unable to return.
