Not up to the Weaver Standard of Quality. So disappointed.

Very disappointed. The replacement breakaway leather was almost Half the thickness of the original product on the original halter. I would be concerned of it failing under the least of circumstances. I saw the concerns in other reviews but I needed to see for myself. I am going to order an off brand to see if any difference. So disappointing that Weaver would sell a replacement strap that is inferior to the original great product. I hope the company takes another look at what their supplier is providing. Less than the Weaver standard of quality. It may be cheaper for me to replace the halter altogether. We’ll see. And if that is the case, I may consider another vendor. So unfortunate. I love Weaver products but this isn’t going to pass. Sorry.

not what I expect from weaver

I have always thought Weaver Leather made quality halters. However, this crown breakaway strap is thin thin thin! Bought 2 and both have broken on very little tension. disappointed and looking for another.

Not sure quality

Leather is surprisingly thin and cheap and not reinforced by any stitching. It is Longer than expected and very light colored. I am disappointed with both the quality of the leather and the length. Honestly, I could make this at home from some left over leather belts…but…mine would be stronger if I made it from an old leather belt.

Thin, poor quality, wrong color

The large looked small at first but it does measure 25”. However, it is thin, cheap quality, and BLACK. The picture is clearly brown, as was the original crown piece. It’s so thin it might not even be worth trying to use.

Looks like it's about to break straight out of the packaging

It's a great size for large horses/warmblood however one part of the leather came looking like it was already about to break straight out of the packaging! It looks like it's been used. I feel like this part will easily and quickly break once I put it on. (I know that's the point of these but this one is unlike any other replace that I've seen that looks like it will last at least 6 months. Very disappointed.

Very poor quality leather.

Not quality leather. Tore first time horse backed up on cross ties instead of breakaway cross ties. A waste of money.

Great product

Great halter. Fits my horse well and light weight. So far it hasn't rubbed him but I do plan to sew on a fuzz noseband piece for him.

Garbage

There is no way this is a legitimate weaver leather product! Color was wrong, quality was embarrassingly horrible. Nothing at all like the original one that comes with the halter.
