Pretty, Stable, Earned a Permanent Place

I originally bought this for holiday crafts and puzzles. It looks like "real furniture," and proved to be so useful that it replaced an end table in our family room. We have puzzles going regularly and card games are quick to arrange. Don't hesitate-- it's well worth the money.

Opps! With gentle shoving, a leg pulled out, BUT GREAT SERVICE!

The table is great and the scalloped edges gave it a special look. The leg folding mechanism is unique. I wanted a small table (32" square) to occasionally act as a one person dining table in my studio apartment. After trying to jockey things around by pushing it I got it into position, I saw one leg was askew. Immediately I turned the table over and saw where the folding mechanism had pulled itself out of the unique 45 degree angle where the leg folds. Drat. But what was even more distressing was that it happened on the Friday before the 4th of July after store hours! And, to boot, on the 30th day after my purchase. Double DRAT ! But I sent an email off to the company with my observations of what I believe had happened. 4 or 5 days later I received a response asking me to take photos of the situation. I labeled corners A, B, C and pled my case. I also had to submit a copy of my Amazon invoice. A few days later the response was that they would replace the table and, indeed, within three days I got my new one and now I have an adequate eating, puzzling and sewing surface. When you live small, it is always a pleasure to find an item that can be used for several activities and this table personified that criterium. Besides it perfectly matched the two chairs of a larger table I had to replace and matches my tiny curios cabinet. I am so glad that Stakmore responded so responsibly to my problem and I expect to get a lot of happy use from their card table. GOT MY VOTE !

Beautiful sturday table, arrived with some damage

This table is very pretty and seems well made and sturdy. The box was undamaged but the table had obvious dents and dings. We don't want the hassle of returning it and are hoping the manufacturer will improve the process and offer a partial refund.

Beautiful

I can't believe this is solid wood. Maybe it isn't, ha! It is a gorgeous table, and a great quality. I can't believe the price. A "cheap" card table costs as much! Thank you!!! I use it for puzzles mostly, but it could be a great small dining table in a small space. I love it.

What a gem!

Kinda shocked by how lovely this table is. I purchased it for use in our garage as a kind of all purpose extra work/hobby space or casual hanging spot for a quick chat and tea. When you compare it to the asking price of the typical metal frame/vinyl topped card tables, it’s an especially amazing value. My hubby was griping, only half-jokingly, that it’s way too heavy...which is not a typical complaint of mass produced portable furniture. It’s so solid! No wobbling, smooth finish, no overpowering chemical odor. And packaged brilliantly; ours was delivered on a soggy day and sat on our porch for hours. Terrified it would be damaged, I was thrilled to discover it was double boxed and meticulously wrapped. I’ve ordered higher end pieces that don’t receive this care in packaging. One reviewer said the legs didn’t lock, but the table I received in early 2019 certainly has locking legs. I opted for the scalloped cherry finish which is not really ‘cherry’. Cherry woods typically have a reddish tint and read more formal...which can skew a little shiny, but this is more of a low sheen medium brown that I’d describe as a walnut or fruitwood. As this table is offered in fruitwood too, I’m curious what that finish looks like? It may be portable and merely intended for extra seating for kiddos or for doing games and puzzles, but when I was a college aged kid on a tight budget, I sure wouldn’t have hesitated to use this as an actual full time dining table in my tiny apartment. It shames anything similar from the big box stores. Do note it’s slightly smaller than the standard card table but losing a couple of inches is so worth it. However, it is genuinely sturdy so I wouldn’t want my elderly mom lugging it about; unless that’s an issue for you, do not hesitate to purchase. Five big stars for quality, appearance, and affordability.

Very solid built

Attractive

I wanted a “ big kids” table to use in our dining room when the grandchildren visited. This table looks formal enough but can be stowed easily when not in use.

Handy, sturdy and can be stored until needed.

Ordered this table to work from home during the pandemic. Not too intrusive or large (good size for laptop, coffee and paperwork) and can be folded up when not in use. It has some "weight" to it (rather than wobbly lightweight plastic). Looks like a nice piece of permanent wood furniture. When the quarantine is over we plan to invite friends over to sit around our table and play cards.

Lovely looking folding table
