Quick & Easy Install & It Looks Great

Works well if you are looking for a quick, easy and painless installation light. It was super easy, just drill 2 holes, screw in mounting plate, attach light fixture with 2 more screws and done! Batteries are not included and it takes 4, C size batteries (for some reason the discription above mentions D) and there are 2 settings of the brightness of the light. I bought the 6500k light and it puts out a decent amount of light at my back door. Light looks exactly as pictured, is made of good quality and has a little weight on it (it doesn't look cheap at all). Motion sensor works pretty good but it doesn't have the furthest range of detection, I wouldn't say it's 30 feet as the box claims, which is ok being I only need it to see when I'm unlocking the door at night. Light stays on for about 30+ seconds or so and has sort of a cool LCD light glow. It worked for what I needed it for. I'll update the review after a few weeks to report if I have any battery issues like some of the other reviews mentioned... Over all it's a good buy *UPDATE* I purchased this in Aug. 2016, it is now February 2017 and this light is still working! I did notice that the light has dimmed a just little bit but I think it's due to the battery power running low after 6 months of use, so I will replace the batteries today. Overall still a good light and it's still shining brightly! Only complaint I have that is during a heavy rainstorm, I notice the sensor sometimes doesn't pick up movement if there are too many rain droplets on the sensor eye. Bottom line... I'm happy with my purchase, I recommend buying this light!

These are battery powered and they use C size batteries.

The media could not be loaded. What I love and hate at the same time is that it’s battery operated. I say I love it because it doesn’t require a plug or a connection to electric. However, I hate it to because I always have to replace the batteries about every four weeks. It is motion censored so if you live by a busy rd, your battery will run out quicker because it will constantly go off. It was super easy to install, and the design is beautiful! It really put a facelift on this old house.

Easy installation, great for areas with no electricity option, but motion detectors didn’t last

We bought these for our back porch and love them but the motion detectors broke within the first year..so now the lights are continuously on and the batteries die within a day or two. So unless Amazon will replace them, we will have to rebuy them. I reached out to the warranty phone number and no one answered.

Ordered two, only put one up so far. Installation was easy. The light works well as motion sensor, but does not have the option to turn on & leave on all night. Guess I misunderstood that when it said it turns on at dusk. Either way, so far so good. Not even sure we need to install the other one. This one seems bright enough on 100% power. EDIT: lights do not work in cold temperatures. They are either very dim, or do not turn on at all. Very disappointed. Not sure how they will do in the summer heat, but not expecting it to go well.

Easy way to add light

I ordered two of these to mount in front of my house. One had missing screws to keep the battery cover on. I contacted the company and they had new screws in the mail the next day....Quality customer service. The lights put out a decent amount of light. My only complaint is that the motion sensor are more sensitive than listed and pick up movement outside of the measured zone. This might not be a concern for others but, for me, they pick up every car that drives passed my house. I was hoping they would only pick up vehicles that come into my driveway. Other than that, I recommend them.

Works great

I have an older house with no power to the front door. This lamp works great with batteries. It's a little smaller than most front door lamps so it might not be what you are looking for but it works great for me. Looks pretty good and comes on when someone walks up the walkway in the dark with a pizza.

It arrived with a crack in the bottom right frame. Put it up anyway. Stays on all day and night regardless of motion and eats batteries every couple days. Trash

Great battery operated wall mountable lantern!

This is the only motion activated lantern with a light sensor that also operates on batteries- that I could find after a lot of searching. I needed a porch light that would help me see what I was doing when I'm trying to use my key on the front door lock at night. Since I had no exterior electric outlets or wiring going to the porch (it's a 100+ year old home), having something that operated on batteries was important. This wall mountable lantern was the only product I could find that that met all my needs: battery operated, motion sensor, light sensor (to avoid activating it during the day when it's not needed). There is also a switch that allows you to select 100% or 50% power. I find 50% is plenty. For me, this was exactly the right product and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
