Perfect for John Deere D140

Works as well as the factory part it replaced. Easy swap out. Just need a ratchet and good lighting as you have to lay on the ground to reach the bolt on the deck. I replaced mine without removing the deck in about 15 minutes including removing and replacing the plastic covers. Very pleased.

Same bearing as Stens

I ordered this idler pulley for a 48" Deere mower deck but then got scared by reviews talking about premature failure and decided to order a name brand idler pulley for $5 more - Stens 280-085 that's also "Made in the USA" (my mower deck requires two of these pulleys). Well, it turns out that both pulleys use exactly the same Chinese bearing - Peer 6203RLD. They are also nearly identical in other ways, so they could be manufactured in the same plant (see photo - Stens is on top, Max Power on the bottom). Not sure if Max Power upgraded their bearings or Stens is prone to the same failures - time will tell. I'll update this review in case of a premature failure (yes, I really will!). Hope this helps!!

Doesn’t last long

Exactly one year ago I replaced 2 of these idler pulleys on my John Deere LA145 lawn tractor. The original ones lasted 135 hours and the bearings were starting to fail. These ones only lasted less then 23 hours: one bearing sized which caused the belt to break, the bearing of the second one is on its way out. Poor quality- I would not buy these again.
