Beautiful sunglasses; cheap case

These are beautiful sunglasses that fit my face well and, unlike most glasses, don't slide down my nose. Maui Jim is generally considered among the high-end of sunglasses, and while I can't compare them to others, I definitely love wearing them! The lenses do a great job filtering out glare and I love their shiny blue color. I'd recommend trying the Asian Fit sunglasses for anyone who has high cheekbones or who isn't sure and is, well, Asian. The only complaint I have about these is the cheap trifold case that's included. It doesn't look like it provides much protection at all. At this price point, Maui should really be throwing in a hard shell case. The craziest thing is, the only hard shell case they sell online is a "small" one that probably won't even fit this model! Pure madness.

Maui Jim Beaches Asian Fit Aviator Sunglasses are superb

The width and height of the lenses in these these lightweight, sturdy, but flexible titanium lens frames and bridge are as described 47/17mm with 145mm temple length. Maui Jim makes frames to fit almost every size face, however the description they provide such as small, average and large or worse still "fits almost everyone" are useless. Thankfully, I found Maui Jim provides the detailed measured sizes for each style they make. If you don't already know what size fits you, avoid disappointments, and go to an optical shop and find those measurements. Then look for those measurements on any pair of Maui Jim glasses you fancy. Looking from the outside, the lens color of this pair, Maui Sunrise, is a partially reflective, deep, bluish or cool pink with bronze undertones. Looking outward, the lenses has a slight pinkish tint that is unnoticeable after a few minutes. Whoever wrote the Amazon blurb identifying these as women's glasses on the Amazon order receipt should find another job. In addition to the color and fit, the optical quality and color rendition through the lenses is superb. I haven't had this much fun wearing sunglasses for a long time.

Not as advertised

Item that I received was not new. Not the lenses requested. And the lenses came horribly scratched. No carrying case. And box damaged. I don’t believe this is Maui Jim Store. Even though it says so on the store front. If it is there’s some serious like of quality control there. I’m a huge fan of Maui Jim’s. But I think I’ve learned my lesson and will order direct from now on. The real Maui Jim’s wouldn’t have shipped something like this

Item seems to be used

I purchased this as a Xmas gift for my husband. When I opened the shipping box, the Maui Jim box looked very old and worn as if this item had been through the ringer. I can't possibly give this as a gift so unfortunately it has to be returned.
